Jerry had Parcells wrapped up within weeks of the end of the season. There was talk of them meeting before the season was even over. Parcells could have looked for other opportunities had he wanted to and a coach of his caliber would have been able to get a job.
That first draft, Parcells had no say other than forcing Al Johnson. He was overruled on Spears for Ware the next year.
Tuna did bring in a lot of his guys which just goes to show that the two of them worked together to build the team. That shows a mutual respect and trust.
Both men have indicated that this was the case yet people will try and make up things to try and fit what they want to believe. Whatever.
