What is your favorite trick play?

i like the one we used vs denver this year. when bledsoe pump faked to terry and he jumped up like he was going to catch it then bledsoe threw it to a wide open streaking keyshawn right over terrys head

I like the one on kickoff returns when after the player catches the kick, he quickly huddles up with a few of his teamates before they all run off in different directions. The kicking team doesn't know which one has the ball. I think I remember seeing that this past college football season.

I believe the qb fakes a pass then hands off to the rb but I'm not sure.

Actually the premise is correct. The QB holds the ball from the rear release point like he's going to paas...Then a RB runs behind him and takes the ball from the QB while its at the furthest back before the arm/ball is ready to move forward.

The fumblerooskie. I still say damn the HS football association for banning it.
such a clever play if you have a tackle or guard who wont go down

Florida did that against Vanderbilt a few years back and scored a TD. The "***" look on the entire kicking team was priceless :lmao:

no doubt the flea flicker, but hey does any1 remember the aveon cason option?

oh and the hitch pitch, where yo pass to the WR and the running back coming in motion gets a pitch from the WR while the S and CB are all over him, its awesome, i was fortunate to score on taht last year.

And you can never go wrong with the flea-flicker. I still get the warm and fuzzies over the Bledsoe to Glenn one during the KC game...

Same here. I think Glenn's dancing at the end of each touchdown is hilarious.

There was also this other great play, in some college game, where the QB would throw it to the WR, and the WR would run up to all the defenders, and then turn around, and lateral it to the WR behind him. He would occupy all the blockers, and the other WR ran for 50+ yards.

I remember reading about a team back in the NFL Championship days that had footballs on their jerseys just above waist level specifically for the purpose of running that play. Later the jerseys were outlawed. Don't know if it's true or just legend, but I thought it was funny.

in the pro game it has to be the flea-flicker. second-best... QB draw - Johnny U-style.

Play action pass is the best trick play the NFL has ever seen, not to mention the most successful.

If we are talking "jap plays" then I would say that I like when any Defensive player in todays NFL comes in and is part of an offensive package. Gimme the Fridge.

Yeah WG that’s my favorite too...there is nothing quite like a well executed flea-flicker for a TD to get things going and to demoralize the opposition.

'member when danny white used to hand off or lateral - and then go out on corner routes and catch TDs?

that was sweet.

I like the fake on-side kick where you line up for a normal kickoff, then pooch kick it over the guys who block the gunners' heads. You get the ball a little deeper than on a regular on-side kick, but if you have speed on your side it is deadly.

I also like the fake spike to kill the clock play.

My favorite trick play is when we trick the Skins fans into believing that they actually have a decent team.

No doubt its the flea flicker. When the Cowboys ran it against the Chiefs and Drew hit TG wide open for the TD to keep the game close, I was going insane. Most exciting play in football, if you ask me.

No doubt you're right, it is the flea flicker! Dallas has a great history with that play. How many TD's have we scored on the Skins alone with that play. The TD from Aikman to Ismial in OT @ Washington..........comes to mind.

I'm a Syracuse fan and back when they actually had good teams, a neighbor of ours loved the QB draw. To his credit, Syracuse ran it all of the time inside the opponents 10 yard line and were extremely successful (think of how Minnesota would run the QB draw with Culpepper.)

Anyway, it got to the point where every time they were inside the 10 yard line our neighbor would say "RUN THE QUARTERBACK DRAW" regardless of the down and distance.

Then we took a trip to Penn State to watch SU take on Penn State for the last time. It was like 3rd and 7 at like SYRACUSE'S 40 yard line. My neighbor blurts out "RUN THE QUARTERBACK DRAW" and we thought he was just joking around, but he was dead serious. We then thought he was stupid.

And sure as water is wet, Marvin Graves runs the QB draw and takes it about 60 yards for a TD. Our neighbor still yells that to this day and even I yell it at Cowboys games all of the time.

Rich......
