What Kind of Sense Does This Make?

Fair or not, the perception is the Cowboys will find a way to screw it up regardless of their talent level, hence their ranking in this poll.

This is true, and also, I couldn't care less about rankings or projections. It's in my sig...

Are you joking? You must be

The packers have consistently been contenders..they've earned their dues...the cowboys on the other hand have shown absolutely nothing. What on earth makes you think anybody outside of this forum here would rank Dallas anywhere near as good as GB?

Um, because of the position-by-position comparisons I noted?

They have us KILLED in the QB department. An elite QB can make up for a ton of deficiencies. Dude hasn't had a decent oline or run game his whole career and he still tears it up.

None of it makes sense. Just like Rich Gannon saying he would take a 1st year starting QB over Tony Romo in Russell Wilson. Just for fun, Romo threw it 255 more times and had a better completion %. Let's not forget that Wilson had a way better run game and arguably the best defense last year. But, it just makes sense to take Wilson over Romo. Look, I like Wilson a lot, but let's see how well he would do without a top ranked defense and running game.

How did Seattle do without Wilson the year before? Wilson is a BIG reason they did as good as they did and went as far into the playoffs as they did. Russell is a legit threat passing and running. He is extremely intelligent as well. Read this little blurb.. he had multiple teams trying to get him in the draft. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...-wilson-nearly-drafted-by-philadelphia-eagles

" And John Dorsey, the new general manager of the Kansas City Chiefs, who was with theGreen Bay Packers at the time, said that Wilson's interview in 2012 was the best he had seen in 25 years"

" Wilson's high football IQ, improvisational skills, running ability and accuracy are ideally suited for Chip Kelly's uptempo offense."

As you shouldn't. They're total crap. This isn't the BCS. And even then, they're still total crap. They're just important crap.

I think saying they "kill us" in the QB department is pretty far fetched.... but that's just me.

Absolutely not. Rodgers is waaaaay better than Romo

You guys are crazy

And position by position analysis doesn't amount to jack. Packers win games. Cowboys don't.

It's not really a matter of being fair or not. It's a matter of dwelling on the past and not doing a remotely good job of analysis on their part.

Wide Receivers - Cowboys > Packers

The Packers don't have a WR anything like Dez, however, their #2 WR Nelson has 22 TDs over the past two seasons (including 15 in 2011), their #3 WR (James Jones) led the league with 14 TDs last season, and their #4 from last season (possibly their #1 WR this season) Randall Cobb many predict may be a 100 catch guy this season.

Obviously Witten is >>>>> Finley.

In otherwords, I'm not willing to say it's so clearcut.

I don't know about that. I think the general feeling about the Cowboys outside of this fan base is the talent is overrated. Not that they don't live up to their talent.

It's pretty alarming to see this kind of thread where there's a collective scoff over the Packers being better. Uh, they are.

It's the halo effect of that "once in a generation QBs" can bring. The Colts under Manning often were mediocre at most positions when compared to the competition yet year after year they won 12-13 games. Rodgers is that kind of talent -- he essentially can be counted on for 10 wins all by himself.

If Miles is healthy along with Dez and Witten we definitely have the edge there. Of course how often is Miles healthy....

I'll take the Packers RBs over ours. I might take their WRs too, though Dez is obviously by far the best WR on either team.

Wonder if the Packers rankings will rise even more after this....

Bryan Bulaga tore his ACL during the Green Bay Packers' "Family Night" scrimmage and is almost certainly out for the 2013 season.
Bulaga was expected to transition from right tackle to left tackle.

Sounds like another season of 50+ sacks for Aaron Rodgers.

You can throw all the other stats in the toilet...all of which Rodgers dominates romo anyways..

But how many turnovers does romo commit compared to Rodgers?

To say this comparison is close is rubbish. Rodgers is significantly better.

Where should the Packers be rated?

Where should the Boys be rated?

EMBRACE THE MEDIA SLANDER PEOPLE. Do you remember the last time the press had something nice to say about us? And how that season played out for us? Finally we can play with lessened media pressure, and more of a chip on our shoulder.

But yeah I agree, the Packers are below us
