Never ask this one before....What does it for you?

1. Is it a play?

2. Is it a season?

3. Is it..week to week?

4.is it a player?

5. is it a brand?

6. hate for others in the division?

7. Is it all you know and take positive from where you can get it?

I'm some and parts of all..i guess some of you are as well..please share.

we have plenty of time to kill....it.s not "really" a sport.."it's a way of life"

It's ok...i'll take the heat for the positive thread...the "Football Gods " know we need one...lol!!

i'm usually in a GREAT mood when we win and our divisional rivals all lose

in a meh mood if we lose and all of our divisional foes lose as well

and don't even talk to me for 2 days if we lose and everyone else wins

Just watching them take the field to be honest, growing up in Europe i had to watch the games the networks there showed for many years, so those 4-5 times a year you got to see those silver and blue helmets take the field was always special. That feeling never really left me even though i can watch them every week of the season now

My absolutely favorite thing as a Cowboys fan in particular is when some no-name player that no one has ever heard of prior to being on the team just blows up - sans Romo, Miles Austin, Selvie (to a lesser extent), Drew Pearson, Jay Ratliff - I know there are more but you get the idea. That seems to happen for the Cowboys more than any team. And it is one of the things that gives me a little hope for every season, because it has gotten to the point where you almost expect it to happen for one guy at least once a year every year for the Cowboys.

I'm 47, been a fan since 1971...about as long as I can remember.

I don't like any other teams.

What makes me smile is all of it, from the Hail Mary to the wreath tossed into the Skins locker room, Staubach's last regular season game to a turkey day tradition. This is my team and always will be.

It made me a little annoyed and angry at first, but then I laughed it off today when I heard that some "respected reporter" selected the Cowboys to go 3-13 this year. This guy selected the Seahawks over the Broncos in the Super Bowl, so his word must be gospel right? Even if our defense is just as atrocious, Cowboys will still have a top notch offense. 6 wins on the Low side, 11 on the high side. I think we go 9-7. Blah.

8. Being the center of attention no matter how good or bad a season turns out. Everyone is a bit jealous of us Cowboys fans deep inside somewhere but would never admit it :D

I absolutely love the negative stigma that Cowboys have from other team's fans. I love being the guy people don't like. Especially when I know more about football than they do, it makes for a very fun football season.

Yes, I also smile when I receive little nasty notes on my windshield from time to time as well.

These days a simple win over an NFC East team works pretty good for me,,,

Can't imagine fans being so team hating that they leave a nasty note on an strangers windshield. Get a life.

Beating the Eagles.

I don't know if I've ever smiled as big and as long as I did after the Cowboys D put Mike Vick out (in 2012 I think?). What a perfect match Vick and the Eagles were, shame he's no longer in the division.

I'm with this. Being hated, relevant or not, makes me smile. Simple because being hated means the Cowboys have won so much over the years that other team's fans are slobbering-green-eyed jealous and wish their team had a legacy and a following more like the Cowboys.
