Very nice take down by Dawkins. Reminds me of the WWE.

James Thrash being uninjured doesn't make this any more legal. He was definitley pwned, though. :)

But Dawkins isn't always on the money.

As much grief as Roy Williams gets from opposing fans for being "dirty", I have yet to see one clip even close to as blatant as this or some of the stunts Taylor has pulled.
Wasn't that Dawkins taking down Thrash?

I think "taking down" would be an understatement. German Suplexing him the ground is more accurate. :)

Interesting ...although I don't think the Eagles plan on doubling up on TO; we've been burned by Glenn before. I think the best strategy is an aggressive pass defense.

Still, curious to learn who (more specificity) will defend TO ...based on your strategy to double-team TO.

Funny you should post this.
I was thinking of what I saw on NFL Network last night.
The showed TO split wide, in green, 1 vs 1 and the blitz was coming.
McNabb hit him short and he was gone.

I think the new line up the two TE's will diswade the other teams from the Blitz.
And
Bledsoe can read a blitz - zone or other type coming.
Make the hot read as the WR's also read it.
Hit it fast and away they go.

I do think the Commanders and Eagles will do about the same against TO.
The Giants will not fare as well.
Too many new faces in the secondary.

That was Cliff Russel in the last game of the 2003 season

Cliff Russel. You will never hear his name again

I thought 83 was Thrash. I can't see the name to make it out.

Thrash is 83, except that clip is from 2003 and Thrash came back in 2004.

Also on topic, until proven otherwise, you have to assume the best secondary of last year will be able to defend TO best this coming year. Especially if TO historically doesn't do all that well against said secondary.

Three things ...

1) Whoever that was, I'll bet he wish it was Thrash!

2) I'll bet Thrash is Glad that wasn't Thrash!

3) That was Brian Dawkins delivering the pain!

Page 4, post #51. Tell me about how well you've done. I'm not impressed.

Well what was the topic of this thread?
Who can best defend against TO.
Answer: The Commanders

Whether or not the team that TO played on won the game isn't relevant to the question. There are a lot of other factors besides guarding TO involved in that equation.

It's not about winning or losing.

It's about defending TO, so you can thump about Taylor "owning" him. LMAO!!!

That's such a cop out.

He averages 38 yards per run against you, I guess we'll use him at RB.

How is that a cop out? It's exactly on point. The correct response from you to my post would be "good point".

If you wanna use TO as a running back go right ahead. Our Run D is just as stout as our pass D. :)

Not against him.

It's a cop out because containing him is worthless if you always lose. In other words it's silly to brag about it like it means something.

Well if the question was which NFCE team can best beat the Cowboys, you'd also have to answer the Commanders. After all, we were statistically better than you in offense and defense and we beat you twice.

How's that for meaningful.
