Michael Irvin would open the passing game like nobody's business.

Hands down, Tony Romo. JMO. But give Tony this defense and he gets several rings.

I'm hoping the same for Dak, because I think it's possible.

Troy Aikman. He would be a perennial MVP candidate.

Staubach would too.

Aikman definitely, Staubach is a toss up. Defenses are much bigger and faster than Staubach played against. You have linebackers today that weigh as much as Staubach's offensive linemen, but are as fast as running backs in Staubach's era.

Emmitt Smith hands down.

He will make line look all pro. Allow Dak to go pass action. Shorten the game and keep D fresh.
We seen what Dak can be if he has an effective running game.
Would Moore adjust the offense to Emmitt or would he be taking handoffs standing still beside Dak in the shotgun?

I'd replace Kelen Moore with Dan Reeves in his prime as the OC. This would drastically improve the play calling and maximize this offense's potential.

#22 on this team with no other additions would instantly make us a serious contender.

If you could bring any player from the past in their prime to play for Dallas now. Must be a Cowboys player. What player would that be? What player would help the team the most?

Michael Irvin

He would bring some dog into this offense.

It has to be Michael Irvin. He was the leader of the Univ of Miami champions under Jimmy Johnson and was a dominating WR on three Super Bowl championship teams. He could get open against anyone on any down. He owned Deion Sanders. He was a great motivator on the field.
Let's face the facts, Cee Dee Lamb is 10% of Michael Irvin. He should turn in the uniform number. He is not worthy. Where are his dominating 100+ yard games?

Roger Staubach. Imagine him playing in these RPO offenses with the protections QBs get today. He was ahead of his time.

Roger. No disrespect meant towards Dak or Rush, but Roger would most likely be 7-0 with this team.

I think other players are obviously better players and had better careers, but on offense I'd love to see prime Romo with this defense. Yes, Roger & Aikman were far better players. My 2nd choice would be Irvin, to induce some passion, fire and playmaking in this offense.

Defensively, Lilly & White were far better players. But I'd love to see the Big Cat, Leon Lett, with this defense. He'd dominate that interior.
