Couldn't disagree more.

Likewise. There are many good athletes, but not all athletes are good at sports. That's why you say, "he's a good athlete" when referring to someone who isn't a good player.

That takes no skill even you could do it

but we'll never know will we

:D

it's because I've declined the position so many times, isn't it?

just look at Ware for an example

there has never been a CB with that type of athleticism, he's big, he's fast, he's strong, and he's as fluid as a corner

it's no big accomplishment to be small, and to be able to run around at high speed
Darren Woodson?

I agree that is CB...in order to be good, you have to be a step ahead of every receiver. Unlike most positions, CB is all reactionary. Everything revolves around what the wide receivers do, and cbs don't know what is coming. The ability to stay with a receiver step for step I think is the most difficult thing in the game.

This question is speaking in terms of as a whole, not a particular player that plays a position.

1. 3-4 olb

2. RB

3. Wideout

4. 3-4 nose tackle

5. CB

6. OTHER

You serious? Cornerback. It's not even close.

i woud have to agree with 3-4 OLB cause they have to be strong and powerful, but also be quick and agile.

I went to a little High School called South River in New Jersey and played CB for 4 years.

An alumni, also a wise football player use to visit a couple times a year named Drew Pearson, you guys might have heard of him ;), once shook my hand and asked what position I play.

I responded with Corner Back and he said "most athletic position on the field."

True Story.

Thank you. It really is no contest. For anyone who has ever played/attempted to play the position, they know why. It's ridiculous what the elite ones are asked to do in comparison to the other positions listed.

I think more thought needs to be given to the supreme athleticism of offensive guards.

Not only are you asked to cover, arguably, the most athletic position on the offense while back pedaling and never really running straight... you are typically in man to man type coverages.

And IF you do have help over the top there are only a handful of safeties that are good enough where I would feel comfortable.

So it takes both incredible athleticism AND nerves of steel knowing if you get beat its most likely leading to points.
