Thank you. It really is no contest. For anyone who has ever played/attempted to play the position, they know why. It's ridiculous what the elite ones are asked to do in comparison to the other positions listed.

if you notice my post...I totally agree. This post was to settle an argument with another buddy of mine.

id say cb's are just wr's who cant catch. so i would put cb's behind wr's.

I believe it is the upside down standup position, it requires strong legs, arms and concentration but it is well worth it....

I would put runners near the bottom of the list as far as athleticism. Runners do one thing - run, mostly in a straight line. yes they are in great shape but as far as being great athletes, not so much.

Basketball, football, baseball, tennis, lacrosse, soccer, kinda hockey all have to run and to a bunch of other things. Many runners can't do any of them well.

...CB I would have to go with lawn bowler or shuffleboard player.

Difficult to choose when things are so close.

MLB. Guys are warriors, they take some serious shots during their career.

TEs are really athletic big men with great footwork. Jay Novacek comes to mind, he was a world class athlete.

3-4 OLBs are usually a rare breed of athlete, Ware for example is freakishly quick, strong, and explosive.

You know Lane, I might think about Olympic Gymnasts. Strength, balance, speed, explosion, endurance, flexability, physical toughness and above all else, mental toughness that probably surpasses all other sports.

They are tough little cookies.

You are forgetting 2 key differences:

#1 CB must play back pedaling while turning there hips all while...

#2 REACTING. The WR knows the pattern along with his QB.

Plus your argument is flawed... I wanna see Larry Fitzgerald play CB better than any of the top corners in the league.

I'd go CB too, today.

In the 1960's and 70's, it'd have been RB.
