What position can a rookie make a Martin like impact next year?

Can you imagine how confusing it would be having two kickers on the field at once? "Who's kicking it?!?" "We don't know, coach!!!"

That'd be awesome.

Chances are probably less than 5% you draft a player in the 20s who is selected to the All-Pro team as a rookie. I'd be happy with a guy good enough to start immediately while continuing to improve over the season. Add that to Crawford, Lawrence and a FA acquisition, we may have something.

True maybe I should of clarified it.. Start and contribute greatly.. All-pro bar is set to high...

A team did that a year or two ago for an onside kick attempt.

8-12 is A LOT for a rookie DE. If you get a rookie DE that gives you 10 sacks, that'd be a much bigger impact than even Martin had this year.

Didn't Ware get 8 sacks his rookie year?

Thanks.
I wouldn't want to bump Dez out, but don't ODB's numbers project to be better than Dez's had ODB played a full season?

OBJ was targeted 6 less times than Dez, despite the discrepancy in games. This was possible because he was not given proper number 1 attention until very very late in the season.

It's kind of reminiscent to Dez in 2012. Not given a lot of attention but during his breakout over the last 8 games, he had about 110 yds receiving per game (about the same as OBJ) because he was not getting doubled. He did not get an all pro nod that year when he was the 2nd best receiver that year.

Then the first game of 2013 came and he was consistently doubled and even tripled at times.

Exactly. If you get a rookie racking up 8+ sacks his rookie year, chances are you've got a heck of a pass rusher on your hands and they are more valuable than guards.

Every possible position can rookie step right in and start at a high level. If you take the right player that is.
