What the heck was that review before the Maher 60 yard field goal before the half?

We called a TO after the catch in question. Why did they not review the play during the TO instead of waiting till we lined up to kick the FG? Very poor officiating and use of the review.

Since the next play had already been executed, and of course a review not legally possible, at the very least once they found that it was a catch the kick should have stood. Imagine if that would have been a game deciding play?

There was indication right after the play. CBS just focused on the celebration, so it was easy to miss.

If there was an indication right after the play, as you say, then why did the in-game officials allow the first attempt? The NFL just ****ed that up, plain and simple.

Since challenging was instituted once the next play has been run you cannot challenge it

This was a violation of that rule but nothing will come of it because the NFL will never hold refs accountable

A refs review has to come before the play is run or the play is stopped during so they can review

Not after a timeout and the ball was kick and the score updated

Yeah the timing of the review was suspiciously odd. If you're going to challenge atleast do it right away or during the Cowboys timeout. I'm impressed Maher made it twice in a row.

The Dallas Cowboys are the only team the league office would go out of their way to take that long to step in and review a clear catch, and do it following a 60 yard made FGA.

And that's the sad part of the whole thing.

I will go back and rewatch that play to see if an official was waving his arms and running in from the side before that ball was snapped. BUT, more importantly, they had so much time to review it. Dallas had even called a TO after the catch. No matter what happened, it was absolute garbage.

Refs had plenty of time to correct their mistake.

Like many here have said, the booth had PLENTY of time to stop everything from proceeding. They had 10-15 seconds after Lambs catch, the entire timeout and the time Dallas took to line up and drill a 60yd FG. Only then do we hear about a review, mind you, of a play two plays earlier. Hmmmm ....

I doubt you have seen a timeout, about 2-3 minutes of time and then buzzing in to review at the snap!!

i dont know how you dont suspend refs...or fine them

them being graded and not getting big games imo is a slap on the wrist because calls like the effect what game going forward is a big game

mistakes happen...i dont get mad at missed PI calls or Missed holding calls....theyre human and you deal with it

but this? this is something you get fired over, no excuse

its human for a doordash driver to mess up a doordash order and not pick up all of the food

its anothe for them to eat it in their car and give you the bones
