What the heck was that review before the Maher 60 yard field goal before the half?

They are going to say there was no snap, because the call to review came in before the snap, like a last second time out to ice kicker, the ball might get snapped, but it's a "non play." Not saying this is right, but that's going to be the league's line on this.
That was ridiculous - Dallas called a time out after Lamb's catch. Its not like they hurried to kick the field goal real quick so the catch couldn't be reviewed. You mean to tell me in all that time the refs couldn't decide if they were going to review it or not, LOL. I assumed right away they would review it, that should have taken about a minute to decide at most. They let the next play happen and field goal get kicked, then come out and say the previous play is under review. It took all that time, LOL. The NFL officiating is such a clown show, its on par with the WWE. May as well get their refs to call these games, would any of us notice any difference, LOL. What a joke. Good for Maher, he made it an even better kick the second time- right down the middle, plenty of distance to spare.

Just another case where the league tried to manipulate the game before halftime to keep people from turning the game off because of a runaway game.

I don't know how many times we have to see this before we acknowledge it as fact.

I can see some bean counter now screaming do something fast The viewing audience has just dropped a third after that field goal was made. LOL.

It's all about money nothing's even close to legitimate anymore!!!

Hey you know this is a really bad one when Marcus Rock has not come on and tried to defend the officiating on this.

He is probably replayed it a hundred times by now and there is just no defending this travesty. Lol
My bad guys for belaboring this but that was really bad

There's no defending it. This seems to have been an attempted screwjob. The ball had been snapped, so the replay should not have been called down at that point. Even if it was, it was clear to me on replay that it was a catch, and, as mentioned, they had the whole time of the timeout to buzz down. If they couldn't tell that a review was needed during that time, then there should not have been a replay called. That was ridiculous.

Your owner decides to make fun of the referees at a Halloween party. There’s gonna be consequences.
If this is true then, despite how everyone says the officials don't have agendas and are supposed to be consumate professionals, it shows that they are letting their hurt feelings or personal preferences get in the way of doing their jobs.

The delay was extreme, but we've all seen plenty of plays ran over the years where they come back and say they were buzzed before the snap.

Surprised at so many pretending they haven't. Selective memory, I guess?

Excuse me, but I have been watching football for over 55 years, and I have never seen a play reversed after the snap had occurred! Maybe right before the snap, but not after! That's some BS there.

It happened in the NBA. There's zero reason to think the NFL officiating is beyond reproach. That entire sequence reeked of theft.

It was crooked and the whole world saw it. The kick was already made. No whistles before it was snapped plus we took a time out before. They could have reviewed it then. Doubt the NFL will even comment on it but they should. They talk about the integrity of the game. I was burning mad because I knew even if we won the call we'd have to kick it again. Unbelievable.

If the nostrils on one of linemen twitched you just know the officials would sprint a 4.2 40 to get onto the field to blow the play dead before it’s snapped.

But somehow they had all the time In the world to look at this?

It’s barely even about our 3 points it’s about legitimacy and watch ability.

Even Minnesota fans gotta be like wait they can do that?

once Maher even gets on the field it’s pretty much too late . Especially since it was clearly a catch

Dallas used both of it's timeouts before the first kick. They had issues lining up. That play should have been reviewed immediately in the last 2 minutes not after timeouts were called.

Yeah it's one thing to manipulate the game for entertainment value but at least be good enough at it so that it's not so blatant.

I'm waiting for somebody to come over and hit our kicker with a chair before he goes out to make the kick.

It's really a sad situation what this game has evolved into but unfortunately it's the best of what we have

Yes, I understand it too. They didn't want us getting too far ahead on their national slot. That said, it happens, and it's not right that they just pull this out. The optics are bad as it makes the League look scripted. Luckily, it ended up not mattering.

I kinda was kidding but Jerry has been on the officials and has issues with Goodell. There is no way that you take that long to decide to challenge that obvious catch.

Wouldnt that call have come in during the timeout prior to the kick? lol

The delay and being last second is definitely a bad look.
Bad look?

They had a freaking full timeout called by the Cowboys after the catch. They could have reviewed then. This is just another example of officials influencing games. Pretty sure that FG covered the over for the first half. Just saying.
