What to do Cowboys fans

You may as well go and keep the score on your phone

imagine people going more than 3 hours not talking about Dallas...someones gonna spoil it

I smoke too, just inside. I usually keep it to an area that is well ventilated, unless the game is on.

2011 Cowboys/Patriots. Had to bomb the house because the mangy dog brought in fleas. Outside my sliding doors with the radio on for sound watching the game. Moments before that I had the windex out wiping down the door. I turned around to see my wife looking at me like you would an exotic beast in captivity.

Yeah yeah. That’s the plan. I blame the team for not handling there business earlier in the year.

You are not being selfish at all parties can be held anytime . A chance to watch the Cowboys eliminate the Eagles from the playoffs in front of their home crowed is a priceless little jewel that should not be missed and Im sure all your friends know your level of Cowboy fan hood . As we all do here .

You are on here with the rest of us Cowboy obsessed people creating a thread listing your confliction I think that in itself should tell them of your level of conviction to this team and should excuse you from the party till the game is over

Lmao that’s hilarious. I smoked inside for years and then started smoking only in the kitchen where we have a ventilation fan. I could stand there and see the TV in the living room and still yell loud enough for the players to hear me. We painted the ceilings and walls and got new furniture and I had promised my wife I would start smoking outside when we did. I am such a idiot. But it’s my wife that’s cleaning the glass door every Monday to get my face smudges off.

Yeah. Your right. How dare them. Lol. And I am gonna blame my wife for letting this happen. She knows what’s up and how I feel. How does she let this go down. My dog is the only one blameless.

youre having a casual conversation about egg nog recipes and then a random person walks by and goes “yeah my dr pepper was good....oh cowboys lost? Oh ok”

What would y’all do. I am planning to record it and turn my phone off as I get score alerts. No satellite radio on the way there or on the way home. They aren’t turning it on while I am there because I will be watching the game instead of getting my party on. And it’s embarrassing when I start talking and yelling at the TV as if the players can actually hear me.

Do I maybe leave the phone on and keep check of the score so if we win I watch it when I get home. And if we lose I won’t watch it and save myself the heart break. Or do leave it all off and watch when I get home. What would you do...

Go enjoy your people. In 2019 we have so many ways to watch games at our convenience. Just record it and enjoy it later .

You will be happier NOT keeping up live on phone. Your friends will see you happy and normal vs mad and upset. merry Christmas and Go Cowboys.

I was at a company Gala once and they rolled out the TV and stopped the gala to watch the final moments of the cowboys packers game and when the packers kicked the game winning fg all the Commanders fans popped champagne and started celebrating

TV would have been trashed and I am fighting everyone. Lol
 
No one in my family or circle of friends that even remotely knows me would never schedule a party during the cowboys game unless it was a part of the party. that is unless they didn't want me to show up.:yourock::oldcouple::dance:
 
I've tried many times for the controlled silence, record and wait strategy, but I just can't take it. It's too damn easy with the smart phones these days. Live is the only way to watch. The only good news is if I have avoided a few heart break stinkers.
