LVE will be one of the most sought after defensive players in veteran free agency, a 25 year old former 1st round pick and Pro Bowler.

He made some good plays. But so often he's missing tackles and trailing guys because he went the wrong way.

I think he's out of the league in two years

If he’s out of the league in two years it’s because of his health. He’s still a very serviceable player.

He had a couple of good games. That to me doesn't warrant a new contract. But if we let him walk it becomes another guy we're going to have to replace. Really comes down to what you want to do with Parsons. If he plays mostly linebacker (which may be a mistake) then you could get away with just him, Neal, and Cox. At the end of the day the staff really needs to assess if there is a massive drop-off between LVE and Luke Gifford.

Another question that needs to be asked is what are we going to do with the OL? If we really focus on cutting back on penalties does that make Conor Williams worth resigning? He's not the worst blocker in the world.

Please god. The guy lived up to his Mr Blooper nickname for 85% of the year and had some decent games late. Time to move on.

Easiest decision ever.

Let him walk.

Folks have gotten used to him being such a total non-factor that when they see him make a positive play they think he’s turned the corner.

The silver-lining of having to play LVE this past year was the fact we can let him walk after the season.

Resigning him would be a huge mistake.

Really comes down to affordability in my mind.

What is he at this point? Played a healthy yeaer in his contract season, does anybody trust him? He is a typical candidate for a long term from Jerry, and then he goes out to crap the bed and run into injuries for the remainder of it. Can't think of the last contract we signed that has paid off for us....?

I think I may have seen him do 1 wolf howl celebration this year. 1 wolf howl = 1 million take it or leave.

He played well at the end of the seems.........well he play OK at the end of the season and pretty well in the WC game, but I'd let him walk. Neck issue is only going to get worse and I think he played to protect it most of the year. If he is resigned I see a repeat at best and for the first 12 games he didn't belong on the field.

I'd offer him the vet minimum, that's all he's worth, if he doesn't accept it then I'd cock his neck back

He’s lost 2 steps. Played well vs SF, but his best days are behind him.

Let LVE go. Sign a more physical LB in FA on the cheap.

Need to replace him with someone that is quick sideline to sideline and will make plays at line scrimmage

LVE was one of the few players we had on Sunday that showed up to play.

He played better as the season went on. Earlier in the season he was on the wrong side of quite a few plays.

Yeah he’s not what he was. Even if he gets it back I think we saw his ceiling. I wouldn’t mind bringing him back on a team friendly deal. But not anything more.

He was up and down all year. We need consistently good play. The guy peaked his rookie year. Injuries have robbed him of his potential and its time to move on.
