Nick Folk kicking the ball out of bounds in the opening kickoff at Texas Stadium. After that I just had a bad feeling.

I think he did that at Philly, too. Now that was a bad omen.

He sure did. I'm glad we have Buehler handling that now. He did that too often.

undoubtedly, the pick 6 at Spittsburg. Another game we should've won, had it in our grasp, and Romo turns it over to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Instead of trolling this board, why not do something more constructive with your time, like trying to get to first base with your sister.

Took our swagger and returned to the basement.

Our swagger is underground in DC someplace in a box from the 80's with a couple of superbowl trophies, some asterisks, and what's left of Joe Gibbs' reputation as a good head coach.

And Jim Zorn, looking for that list of game-day offensive adjustments.

Stop flattering yourself. Nobody in their right mind identifies that game as the beginning of the end, and in retrospect, it was hardly the Skins' springboard to prosperity.

Are you a Commanders fan?

Kinda-sorta have to read that comment in context.

It happened before last season started.

Romo decided to emulate Tom Brady = FAIL.

umm i don't know about that.. I don't think Romo was the issue..we just never had our defense, special teams, and offense all clicking at the same time..
Anways... I'd with the blocked punt against the Cards... but since everyone picked that I'll go with something different and say the INTto end the game against the Steelers.

Grammatica did this too to start the seahawks playoff game in 06.

I guess in the future if a game starts this way, all of us might want to hide under the bed.

LOL!! I must've missed you guys in the playoffs..You picked on Newman when he was hurt..
And I think anyone will agree the one plus you have at having a first year head coach is theres no scouting report or m.o. on his tendencies.. Maybe thats why after everyone got a good luck you went 2-6 the second half of the year?? Just a thought

Since it's slow, figured I'd throw it out there. :star:

I have 5 that come to mind (3 from the same game):

After Wade hyped up all week that he had worked the team extra hard for special teams improvement which had been terrible up to that point, they responded by allowing the opening kickoff to be returned for a TD against the Cardinals.

With the Cardinals virtually dead, and with the 3rd & 17 facing them, they choose the safe option of just dump it off to a RB and then punt to preserve some field position. Incredibly, the Cowboys defense forgot how to tackle, and the play gained a first down. The momentum then turned.

The Cowboys manage to kick and fight their way to overtime, only to lose on an NFL first blocked punt for a TD in OT.

With the Pittsburgh game still winnable even after the defense wilted to let an otherwise dominated Steeler team back in the game, Tony Romo forces a throw that is picked off and returned for a TD to lose a game that shouldn't have been lost.

After fighting and clawing to over come many terrible things in the last game at Texas stadium ever, including a 70+ yard run for a TD (one of the worst displays of "professional" athletes at tackling), the Cowboys defense gives up an 80+ yard TD run by a fat fullback on the very next offensive play after having given up a 70+ yarder.

Add all of these up and you then get the 44-6 loss and total give up that the sad, pathetic, and highly over rated 2008 Cowboys gave us in the final game.
