What was your first Cowboy gear? And age you got it?

7 years old, blue Cowboys sweatshirt my mom got me. She didn't even know what the Cowboys were, she bought it because it was blue and I liked blue stuff.

That's how I became a fan. As soon as I found out they were a football team (from my 49ers fan uncle who wanted me to ditch the sweatshirt) I was hooked.

That was January 1993. Perfect time to jump onboard.

While this is not technically "gear" in the manner I think you mean it, I was 5 years old and got one of those electric football games with the little plastic men that move when it vibrates. You would but the teams in formation and then have this little sponge ball wedged in the hand of the QB or ball carrier and when you click the switch, the metal board would vibrate causing the men to move, etc. Little did I know at the time that one of the teams was the Cowboys and the other happened to be the Chicago Bears. I bring this up because some years later (not sure what age but likely less than 10) I was watching a football game with my granddad and the Cowboys were playing (Roger was QB). I remember being incredibly excited as I screamed "that's the team with the star" over and over again. Pre-snap movement, multiple motion, the Landry hitch, shotgun...I sat in awe of the spectacle of it all. I had very little understanding of football at the time but it was the most magical thing I had ever seen in sports. Of course the Boys won that game with a stellar comeback (Roger was incredible yet again) and I was hooked. So...this particular "gear" primed the pump for that magic moment to happen. 40+ years later, I am a bigger fan than ever! :)
Omg I had that football game as well Lol awesome memory except some used to just spin round and round lol ! Thanks for sharing

yeah...worse yet was when the little combs/brushes on the bottom would start to snap off and they'd just bounce around in place and just fall over...smh.

Lol yup but I think that was on every kids Christmas list and then the boxes of teams they started coming out with. It was really loud also if you cranked up the vibration to the highest levels lol

Yep..

Had that and the one that had the team with a fuzzy white ball you stuck on the player and you would turn on the switch and it would vibrate the play.

You couldn't get a Cowboys version back then..it was the Giants and Baltomore if I recall.

Hours of fun with my buddies..we were a loose band of confederates looking to play anything.

Kick the can. steal the bacon, blind man's bluff, Marco Polo, touch football..one potatoe two potatoe to choose up sides..

Days long gone.

My Dad worked for PeterBilt when I was a litle kid and brought home an autographed poster of "Too Tall" Jones standing in front of a Peterbilt. It hung in my bedroom for several years, along with the 1983 Cowboys Team photo that I got at MacDonalds.

Oh my..

Thats why you had to play those guys with bad skates as OL and DL.

and we flipped to see who got first choice as to what team you got..

the loser got to receive first..

we had our own neighborhood rules.

You would have to say the rules and the other person got to add a new rule and away we went..

we had some crazy rules..

For me it was a pair of Tony Dorsett Cowboys Pajamas with his number and name on the back ! In 1977 & I was 7 years old ! It was the first gear I ever got and I loved those PJ's I think I even wore them for Halloween for trick or treating lol !

My wife never watched football until we met, now she is a huge cowboy fan. Her first Cowboy Gear was 16 years ago - Plain old cowboys T-Shirt I know boring

My 2 Year old son - Had a Jason Witten jersey Right after birth + Cowboy beanie - was awesome since the jersey was so big on him but he grew into it ! Almost time for a new one for him though oh my lord who do I go with for his new one ?

Share your story guys what's the first Cowboy Gear you got ?
I was also 7 years old in 1977 and got a Dallas Cowboys football for Xmas. Started my career as a receiver, I lived with that football for years.

Blue Star Graphics & Design......I'll definitely check em out, Thanks!
OK, I just made that all up. Don't believe me.
I'd post a picture and directions, but I'm not going to take the time to upload them to a host, get the link, then post it here. Apparently it's impossible for there to be an UPLOAD IMAGE button to where I can just upload an image from my phone, even though Literally every other message board I go to has that option, and they don't ask for donations.
