The nano second is the amount if time it took Romo to go down once he was declared healthy. 3rd play of the 2nd drive in preseason?
You are EXACTLY dead on. Romo is a big reason we are in this mess. If his wasted contract money was used on several defensive studs, we could absolutely compete for it all, RIGHT NOW.

In addition, think of all the time and resources devoted to getting him ready and he cannot even last an entire game. He is the reason last year the Cowboys went 2-14. Not that it should all be blamed on him, the people who keep supporting a lost cause is an absolutely HUGE reason this team is in the shape it is in.

Dak is the future. Let's roll with it or continue getting left behind.

Garrett is just waaaay too conservative. Im ready to move on, but my fears were confirmed when Garrett got a hold of the game plan in a real game.

The problem is how long will he be healthy? If we start 2-6 or worse the season's over. Romo couldn't save us last year and he won't this year.

We'll know in a few weeks when he comes back whether he'll be able to hold up. If not, it's another lost season.

Unless the rest of the teams in the division tank like last year, it's already lost. The only way it isn't is if this team can find a way to win a few games without him.

What, no Monday Morning Quarterback demands for Mark Sanchez yet?

My guess is he's back for week 5. Can we win 2 of the first 4? That'd sure be nice and would set the table nicely for his return.

This type of thinking will hold this team/organization back for YEARS. So sad to see wasted potential.
It seems like a repeat of last year. Let's just wait for Romo to save us because we can't win with anybody else. For as great as Romo's been we've only been to the playoffs once this decade.

The real thing that nags me about Dak Prescott is more about the coaches. I just don't know what kind of coaches would look at Carson Wentz and looks at Dak at the Senior Bowl and then conclude that Dak is the better prospect. They obviously don't value the same things I value in a quarterback prospect. That is irrespective of how their careers turn out in the end.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I wonder if this coaching staff values downfield passing at all. Which is the only way that I see someone thinking that Prescott is a better prospect than Wentz.

There was some heat by the Giants through the game...think Free's legs are getting old now?

Dak has a great arm and throws a good pass. His accuracy will improve over time. I think what makes him a better player than Wentz is his mental toughness/leadership abilities (which is a HUGE part of the QB position) and also his ability to create plays with his running ability.

Wentz doesn't have either and likely never will. I realize we may see things differently, but Dak has a LOT more upside than Wentz due to the aspects I just mentioned. Which team utilizes theirs better remains to be seen.

If Romo is a joke...like, you caught him at a dinner club as the comedian?

What exactly did Wentz show in the senior bowl that was better than Dak Prescott, who not only won MVP of the Senior Bowl, but whose team also won?
Dak showed downfield throws in preseason. It's much easier launching downfield against the Browns than it is the Giants. DRC and Janoris Jenkins are solid corner.

Dak wasn't valued higher than Wentz according to the draft staff here given he was taken late in the 4th round. I'd much rather have Dak and the additional 1st and possible other picks to invest on defense than jumping up in the draft.

Eh. I knew once the regular season started the play calling would go back to playing scared.

I just wanted to chime in how great I thought it was that Brad Sham kept calling him "QuarterDak" during the game broadcast :D

I thought he was fine for his first NFL regular start. To bad the veteran wide receivers on this team don't catch the big ones...I think veterans need to help the rook out more than they did.

I though he played really well and poised. The giants flushed him from the pocket almost every play and he still completed passes. Not only that but Dez never once got open. The difference between Eli and Dak in this game is Eli had Beckham running wide open for the TD and Dez was never open.
