Austin has too much potential to cut right now. If push comes to shove, I think we keep him over Hurd (whom I like as well).

I would also agree, just because they have more potential than Rector. But rector is still a really good receiver. He could be a 2nd receiver on teams like the Titans.

*I think Crayton is a really good #3WR who maybe has the skills to become a good #2. He becomes a FA next year & probably wants lot more money/chance at strating #2 job then we willing to pay. If one of our younger WRs really steps up in TC/preseason games (Hurd?) & continues look good early in regular season, believe Cowboys would trade Crayton if we get a 4th rounder for him rather then nothing at all. The only caveat might be if either TO or Glenn have an injury which might affect their playing for us in 08.

I kinda think stashin Stanbeck won't happen though...seems he got alot of love on draft day...(from other GMs, not DC fans).

The whole Crayton thing is interesting. I do think we has the potential to be a solid #2....but something tells me it won't be here in 08. There's a good chance he gets Kevin Curtis money in FA and I will be sorry to see him go.

If he plays well enough, Jones will keep him.

That is what he does for productive non-injured players.

Besides, Kevin Curtis money is peanuts. Particularly if he may be asked to start, which he easily could be.

This is a big year for him. If he plays well, I don't see any reason to not pay him.
