What will it take to bench Free?

Why not try Collins over there and Leary at LG?

We should have practiced this some in training camp. We have Leary for this year and then he's gone. But he's going to be wasted on the bench because it's hard to move Collins to RT now that the season has started.

Doug Free gets so much unwarranted criticism every week, that when he actually does struggle significantly everybody acts like it's an 'I told you so' when it's really not. That said, he really struggled with his matchup this week. If we have a better OT on the roster, I'm all for giving him the snaps in practice and a shot at that job. I don't think we have that guy ready yet, but I'd look at it, anyway.
Is submit Collins as a betree tackle wother Leary going back to LG. But this staff is all about comfort, even at the expense of improvement. Free isn't awful, but he's the weak link and we should always be trying to improve. This team isn't good enough right now, so without changes, nothing will change!

He was a turnstile yesterday in pass pro. JPP beat him inside over and over again. And like the whole OL, was poor in the run game. What will it take to bench him? Another poor showing at WAS? Another injured QB (Free's man was the guy who hurt Romo, although not entirely Free's fault)? At this point, I would not mind going to a rotation between Free & Chaz Green (like we did with Free and Parnell for a while). Maybe that would keep them both fresh. Or get really aggressive and move Collins to RT and start Leary. Something has to change though. Thoughts?

A better backup then the horrid Green.

You never did reply to my assessment on his 1st half against Seattle....but then again I'd expect too much from you other than - he sucks

Oh, well let me respond. Green sucks and your assessment was similar.

nah, he just stinks until he doesnt. And no hoping, wishing, or BSing some preseason analysis can change that.

Which shows 3rd string guys along the line beside him.....which he did quite well....I have the tape, care to display each play? If not, I'll be glad to re-up with you

I don't have the time to pull up tape to argue with you but I remember him getting beat multiple times in preseason and showed little effort or determination. He looked pitiful at times

A better right tackle. If there was a better RT on the team now, Free wouldn't be starting.

Broaddus seems to think he still has a foot issue or just that his past ankle/foot problems have caught up to him. Mentioned it a couple of times. He might be right.

Just rewatching the highlights of every Dak play, Giants were in his face the entire second half when we went to Air Coryell offense.

The 2nd half was a complete circus. It would have taken a few Romodini magic plays to pull out the W. The NYG DL particularly JPP was all over Dak in the 2nd half.

Parnell was better and we let him walk......Free has been bad since he signed his extension......team loves him though
