What will it take to bench Free?

He was a turnstile yesterday in pass pro. JPP beat him inside over and over again. And like the whole OL, was poor in the run game. What will it take to bench him? Another poor showing at WAS? Another injured QB (Free's man was the guy who hurt Romo, although not entirely Free's fault)? At this point, I would not mind going to a rotation between Free & Chaz Green (like we did with Free and Parnell for a while). Maybe that would keep them both fresh. Or get really aggressive and move Collins to RT and start Leary. Something has to change though. Thoughts?

Only a call down from Jerry is all. Garrett bends over each and every time Jerry peeps.

If Parnell was better, why wasn't he starting? Discontent and assumptions do not make a better RT.

A better right tackle. If there was a better RT on the team now, Free wouldn't be starting.

Leary is a superior player to Free. I find it hard to believe that a 2015 1st round LT prospect(Collins) can't at least match what Free has been giving us the past year. It's a shame the coaches haven't given Collins any practice snaps at RT all offseason. Or at least that has not been reported.


It's literally impossible for a player to perform any worse consistently over an entire half. Too bad it'll require an amputation before a starter loses his job on this team.

Every year we seem to be up on Free and yet he ends up playing solidly more often than not. I'll give him a pass for yesterday. But if this continues, it would be wise to work Green more and more in practice and get him ready.

Everyone is upset that free got beat up by former all pro RDE that was an elite pass rusher and would still be a RDE if it wasn't for a 4th of July accident. JPP has elite edge speed and what skills he lost with half a hand he makes up for it now being a LDE that takes on usually the weakest pass blocking tackle on most teams. He will cause problems all year for right tackles

I think had Smith not gone out Green might have went in at RT. Green came in and liked decent, didn't give up any sacks and for his first real game action was hopeful

Contrary to populous.....Green is better everywhere except his paycheck. Witten & Free are given passes on performance until THEY decide they can't anymore

yeah after we gave Free 4/32m and then we re-signed him to 5m a year instead of 6.5m for Parnell
