It is well known Leary wanted outta of here hence why no offer was given.

They would’ve kept Ware and Murray but did not want to over pay. They had the money period. They never lost a player because they couldn’t match an offer. Can’t believe I gotta spell that out. Good grief

It's not about the money they have next year, it's about the money they'll have in 4 years because good players want long contracts. The Broncos offered Leary a 4 year contract. By that time the Cowboys will have to pay Prescott big money, Zeke big money and they'd have no room on the books.

This was of course before Zeke's fall from grace and before his future became a lot more uncertain.
