Do you seriously see this happening?
You know our front office doesn’t believe in over paying other teams players.

This is far removed from reality.
Jerry won't, but Stephen and Garrett probably would.

I think Garrett is tired of him.

It's truely had to judge exactly how good or bad he is be cause they force the ball to him so often that it inflates his stats relative to other WRs.

He does score TDs but how much of that is just the sheer volume of opportunities that he gets.

His main value is that teams still use their top CB on him often. Unfortunately they generally don't double cover him so it's doesn't help the other WRs that much.

Next year, I would take a shot at Larry Fitzgerald on a 1-year contract.

Allen Robison would be interesting. He blew out his knee this year but had great numbers in 2015 and decent numbers in 2016 with a QB that has limitations.

He's not getting $18M per year for 5. That's a ridiculous argument.
He does if we Franchise him....which is the last option....that sets 18m as the floor not the ceiling

Best is to offer 4/50m right now.......up the guarantee to 30m...hard to turn down for a second round pick with injury history

They can keep both...

I’ll go one step further. If they both keep
Playing like this..... they HAVE to keep
Both.

These two guys are playing at an all pro level right now. If they keep it up, u have to find ways to pay them.

You don’t let all pro defensive lineman walk. They are too hard to find.

I believe the top Tender would mean the cowboys would get a 1st rounder and a 3rd rounder if somebody signed him.

A 1st and 3rd? Depending where those picks are, I could live with that.

Yeah as long as we don't pickup another Taco and Chaz Green.

Totally agree. These two are the cornerstones of the defense moving forward. You don't let defensive linemen of their caliber walk out of the building.

True. But the Cowboys will enter 2018 with just over $18 million of cap room and franchising Lawrence will eat up almost all of that. A 1st and 3rd tender for Irving will be steep, hopefully, not too steep.
I think they also have 11 Mil roll over & we would get 8 Mil in cap if witten hangs it up after this season.... so it could be more like 37 Mil

I see your logic and it is sound. But if both "get paid" then someone else "won't get paid" because you can't pay everyone.

Right now we get the benefit of Daks cap hit but it won't last long. He will get paid. Martin will get paid. Zeke will get paid.

The trouble is sooner or later you have to make some hard decisions. We wanted to keep Murray but it didn't make cap sense. It was a cap decision to let him go, not a football decision. Same with Leary.

I know they do, but if someone like Jacksonville or Cleveland that have 80 million to spend who knows.

Cleveland would have to give up the #1 pick. Pretty sure Dallas would take that.

Jacksonville's top 2 LDEs have combined for 12 sacks. Their top RDE has 10 sacks. Malik Jackson at one DT is making a fortune. I think they have plenty invested in the DL.

Certainly your point is valid, however. Teams with some cap space could make a run at Irving if they are willing to give up a #1 pick. You hope it isn't a team like the Eagles that will be picking near the bottom. I could also see Washington doing one of their annual runs at a Cowboys player.

And as of Friday the Jags also now have Marcell Dareus who was traded from Buffalo.

Yeah I have to agree also, it just takes too long to develop pass rushers to let them go.

With Irving now at the 3-tech, he will put up some numbers....and for the amount of games played they could be nasty. He is better there than Collins and should have that spot.
