The only thing that would get me excited is if they drafted Jeanty and were active in FA, shoring up the DL, LB’s,WR. I would be excited to hopefully see O coming back.

As far as coaches are concerned? I don’t think any HC could excite me, but I’d like to see what Saleh could build as DC.

It starts with what are we going to do with the head coach. As of now I am not optimistic at all with the possibility that McCarthy returns. He could not put points on the board vs Atlanta and we were healthy. Our offense is trash and it’s not just the players. Not resigning McCarthy would peak my interest.

Release Diggs, Lawrence, and Martin. Trade Jake Ferguson for a draft pick. He's a liability and Schoonmaker showed flashes of being very good.

Resign Dowdle, Rush, Lance

Sign a stud defensive tackle. Odighizuwa is going to be too expensive and I'm leery of players having breakout seasons during a contract year, especially on this team.

Draft a running back in the first two rounds to pair with Dowdle to have another threat and as insurance in case he gets injured.

Clean house and bring in a new staff. This team is undisciplined and the red zone offense is among the worst in the league. I'm not sure what head coach is out there but I prefer that he's young, hard-nosed, and innovative.

Ben Johnson and Jeanty. You know what, I take it back, Jerruh would still be in charge and there's just too many holes to fill.

+1 in general. If all of a sudden Jerry were to stop acting like Jerry, that would be great. Hire a top young coach prospect. Be aggressive in the draft and free agency without overpaying.
I just have no faith that will happen.

I’m always optimistic and I’m always ready for a new season. Even in a lost season like this one there are moments to enjoy.

With that said, my interest will be piqued if the Cowboys hire an up and coming young coach with no previous ties to the cowboys. That would signify to me, a change in the way Jerry and son operate. It would be out of their comfort zone.
