What would you do about Roy? Trade him?

It makes me laugh. As soon as anyone has ANYTHING negative to say about ANYONE on this team, the homers come out in force & cry overreaction. Yeah, you're right, no one else in the league has ever said Roy is overrated, can't cover, blows his assignments on a regular basis, and is out of position so often, he HAS to horse collar, because he's always chasing the guy who's coverage he just blew.

You're right, this is the FIRST thread to ever diss Roy boy. How dare they!!??

Fact is that at least two of Brady's 5 TD's were the direct result of Williams screwing up in coverage. People can spin it however they want, but the fact is that the guy is often times a liability in coverage.

Speaks volumes when a coach has to make adjustments to his schemes to try to overcome such glaring deficiencies.

FYI,My thoughts on RW go back far before last weeks game.I came into this season giving him another chance with a new coach and a new system. He still makes the same errors most every week.Safeties need to be able to cover in this league.Well, at least safeties on championship teams do.

So what you are saying is that you are using the Pats game as an excuse to push your agenda ..... got it.

Do you believe we should trade SS Roy Williams?

I used to love watching him but anymore he just gives me gas....:bang2:

I own a autographed jersey, however, Roy cannot cover or wrap up and tackle and his hard hits......well, they DO NOT knock down the ball carrier like they once did.:star:

What do you think we should HONESTLY do about Roy? :bang2:
Ridiculous Post.

I can explain it ....

You are only seeing what you want to see.

Any safety in the league will get beat by a good wideout one on one.

It happens every game. It happened Sunday to the Pats Safeties.

Yea, that's right.I WANT to see an integral part of the team I have loved for over thirty years fail week after week.Riiiiiighhhhhht..................

tackling a guy 28 yards after he makes the catch is not good not matter how you try to sell it
It's all relative. Do you want to give up a 28 yarder? No. And if it happens, you're going to be pissed.

I look at it like this. If he's one on one with his guy like the other day and Brady makes an excellent throw to the guy he's covering. If he's right there, then how can I complain. He's there, but Brady made a good throw. Good QBs make that throw and the defender is almost always helpless to stop it.

He plays the ball on that and I have a feeling it goes for a TD.

I assume you are referring to the completion to Watson

if so, he had nearly perfect man to man coverage on the play...Brady threw a perfect pass...perfect passes will beat perfect coverage, it happens...its why QB's like Brady make millions every yr

No I want Roy to start batting down passes sometimes but he does not.

This has been 3 years now this is not just the Pats game;this is the Giants game this year as well. Last year he had the same issue we had deep balls right there yet he never made the play on the ball he just tried to clober the wr catching the ball. Yep he made the tackles but it allowed the teams to score. It allows team to keep drives going on a regular basis.

This is not one game this is 3 years of the same types of play over and over again. He needs to go and yes I think he is as bad as Archuleta now.

We have been ...... you just refuse to listen.

The Colts and Pats safeties get beat just as much, if not more, than Roy .....

Dallas, I think, has a better secondary than the Colts and just as good of one as the Pats .....

Keep crying boys ...... next game will be here in less than a week.

I agree 100%...nobody was going to get Watson

that was an awesome throw Brady made...not many QB's can throw a ball like that 30yds down the seam...some can put air under it and make it, but not many can really zing it where the DB cant make a play even with perfect coverage

I assume you've done this.

I will await your report, and a comparative analysis of other strong safeties in the NFL, with great anticipation.

Fortunately this is the 21st century and there is a glut of both television coverage and "experts" who just can't wait to break it down for us.They have the film and the equipment so I let them do it and watch it on TV. Of course I do pay attnetion in the games but there is only so much you can really see via a network broadcast.Take a good look at the TD's scored over him in not only the last game but in most every game and tell me he "get's it".I mean take a GOOD look.

Ok well since you are so sure it is his fault please show me video of the play, what defense was called and what his responsibility was. Don't worry, I will wait.......

Are you serious?Agenda?I have no influence on the who plays for the Dallas Cowboys. My "agenda" is only that I would like to see my beloved Dallas Cowboys win another championship. The Pat's game just further emphasized what has been a problem for us for quite some time now.Get it?

...that no one has mentioned that since Darren Woodson retired Roy has never duplicated his rookie season performance. Woodson was the guy who kept him in check and told him where he was supposed to be. I don't think we realize just how much we miss Darren Woodson.

Yes, it's the whole secondary who needs to step it up but every week Roy blows assignments. Hey, it was great to see him up on the line of scrimmage this week pressuring the QB and in my opinion, especially against the Pats, why not blitz him almost every play--heck, the defense gave up big chunks of yards anyway so you might as well try to hit Brady and at least make your presence felt!

he has 51 passes defensed in 5 seasons...by comparison sake, Ed reed (who gets his hands on alot of throws) has 62 in the same time frame...thats 11 more PD's in 5yrs...so I am not sure what you are complaining about

if you truly believe that, there is no sense in arguing with you...it takes a 10 cent head to belive something like that

Did you see the way Newman looked at him on Moss's TD when RW covered the flat instead of the deep middle.Did you see the play where RW was standing half way back in the endzone and the ball floated over his head for a TD?RW actually still hit the guy.... about 45 seconds to late.
