What wrong with Bradin Cooks?

Bottom line, this just isn't a west coast offense.
Imo Brandin Cooks needs to be on the move, he's running far too many static routes, hitches etc
Ding! Ding! DING!

Number one answer! For some reason, Dak only seems to throw to Cooks when he is wide open and standing stock still. Cooks is a guy that you can throw open. Put it up there, way out there in front of him when he is on the run. He'll go get it. Dak doesn't do that very much. He CAN, but he doesn't. Most frustrating.

He has to be look at and then thrown to. The guy has been open a few times just doesn't get thrown the ball. The dude really got the wrong part of the trade coming here.

He is having by far his worst season

Takes 2 to tango so look at his throwing partner cause Mr. Cooks was a 1000-yard WR till he got to Dallas!!!
Shame that special someone didn't see him WIDE OPEN in the endzone yesterday!!!

Maybe not, he probably likes playing for a good team.

I went back and watched every play. I said Dak played really well last night, but honestly after reviewing the game I’m pretty disappointed. It looked like every other play Cooks was WIIIIIIIIIIIDE open. Sure enough I checked avg yards of separation and while Lamb had 3, COOKS HAD 4.8!!! 2 targets with insane separation. I just don’t get it. It’s like he’s a ghost to Dak. If I’m Cooks I’m really hating this experience

Shush, there is no evidence that he ever gets open :muttley:

He's 800 yrs old.

And he's just a mercenary at this point. The Cowboys are just a paycheck to him....nothing more

If Jerruh told him he could still keep getting his full paychecks even if he just stayed home and sat on the couch....Cooks would take the couch option. It happens.

favorite targets. if you aren't 1 or 2 on that list, it's going to be rough sledding.

The more telling stat is yards per target: 5.7 ypt.

That's just pitiful.
1.8 ypt lower than his previous career low season.
Which happened to be last year.
2.0 ypt lower than his next previous career low season.
Which happened to be 2 years ago.
A pattern emerges.
The guy just may be done.

PFF Brandin Cooks

His YAC on the year has got to be 0. He seemingly has no awareness of where the defensive players are when he catches the ball. He just goes into defense mode and falls over. He basically just a deep threat at this point.

#40mil rarely hits this WRs on the stride.

my guess since he has a smaller catch radius, Dak has no clue how to throw to him. Completion percentage only tells you so much about a QB's accuracy.
Disagree with you on one except for the fact they were hitting with each other during training camp that’s all you heard now is like who is Brandon cooks? Looks like DAK don’t even look anybody’s way on the check down except for his TE.
