What's going on is that he's not coming to Dallas, rather he leaves Arizona or not.

I read that Warner would only sign with Arizona if Boldin remained there.

Warner signed, so I doubt Boldin is going anywhere.

The two contracts have nothing to do with each other. Warner wanted to give them a discount so they resign Boldin. If Boldin decides to say screw you to the Cardinals not only can Warner not do anything about it, he has a contract and he isn't going anywhere.

I think he has two years remaining on his current deal, but AZ may re-up him later on. It would be down the priority list for AZ, but eventually they may go there.

Boldin is not coming here.

We will use all our draft picks to fill areas of need. No more Free agents, unless they are small time guys.

I realize that, but Warner wanted a commitment from Arizona that they would not release or waive Boldin. If I read it correctly, that was one of his stipulations on returning to Arizona.

Whether Arizona upholds that promise is to be seen, and you're right, there is nothing Warner can do about it if the Cardinals decide to move Boldin.

I never said he was. I asked what was going on with that contract. It may come as a bit of a shock to you but the other side of this story is, Where might TO land? If Az can't get Boldin signed, I wonder if that might be a possability for them.

Thanks for all the very helpful information on Boldin thou.

Huh? How do you figure that? Roy is a Pro Bowl caliber WR. He was #1 in Detroit and put good numbers in that crap hole.

Yeah, he did not instantly click with Romo here. But they have a whole off-season now under their belts. Roy will be a FINE #1.

Ahhh, that's true, that's true. I didn't think of him replacing Boldin. Probably cause I can't see a team that just got to the Superbowl screwing their team up by bringing in a player whose going to want to be the #1 on the team and the team already has Larry Fitz. I can just imagine the issues that would pop up there when TO caught only 3 balls for 3 yards while Larry snagged 9 for 130 and 2 TDs.

I don't know where Az is at with there negotiations with Boldin. I mean, he may just say you guys aren't paying me enough and decide to leave. I can't say one way or the other, which is why I was interested in where they are at. However, at least where TO is concerned, he may not have a whole lot of options. It may come down to just a couple of teams who might be interested in him so he may not have a choice but to be a 2nd option for a team who might be looking for one player. Besides, if you look at Arizona's offense, they had 3 WRs with over a thousand yards this year. If you plug in TO, that might be a viable solution for Az, who does not want to get into a long expensive contract. They are built to win now, so to speak. They have made the decision to go with Warner so Lienart is down the road, if at all. They are banking on a 2 or 3 year run, as I see it. Boldin is not the stretch WR in Az. He's a possesion guy and TO, looks to me, as if that is probably where his game is headed at this stage of his career. Based on what I've seen, TO is no longer the vertical threat he once might have been. He can still do it but that's not his game any longer. TO might be a good 2nd option for Az if they can't get a deal done with Boldin.
