You don't suppose it's possible that it took time for Brown to develop? Or maybe he wasn't one of the top 3 or 4 receivers on a team with Cooper and Wilson the last couple years?Logistics and analytics.
Well the defense seems to be working fine without him, so he will eventually get his opportunities.
After all it took the team 5 years to realize Noah Brown can actually play and contribute.

Maybe, probably some of that as to the NFL game vs. NCAA. But I watched Brown all through college. And IMO he has always had the ability. Garrett buried him, and suppressed his opportunities. And depth at WR in the past kept him down, as well he had a few years of those nagging injuries.
Bingo....the dude was a 4th rounder who missed the majority of his rookie year. Let's be patient, he was drafted as a bit of a project, and missed the majority of his development time last year. There are snaps to be had if he shows to be ready in practice, until then let's be patient. Just because he was a pet cat of a lot of fans during the draft means nothing.I don't understand why this is seen as a mystery. He's not good enough in the eyes of the coaches to get more playing time. I realize that the draft experts here know more than Quinn does about defensive talent and that he's letting a future HOFer languish on the bench, but that's the reason.
The coaches don’t think he is better then LVE.

Cox hasn’t done anything besides a dirty hit on Daniel Jones.
I don't really care what conference someone plays in they can still be a project, almost any 4th round and on player is going to be. Coming out of school by most scouting reports he was labeled as a strong coverage linebacker who was slow to process in the run game, and didnt use his hands well to get off blocks. So for him to actually receive snaps he needs to get better in certain areas. That to me is textbook definition of a project player. How was Cox a " project' at a reputable big school like LSU,.. as he was a starter for the Tigers defense,.. in the most competitive conference in college football ?
Before he was got season ending ACL injury, he reportedly had only received 8 snaps,.. and yet at this point he still hasn't surpassed JAG Luke Gifford in the rotation and depth chart ?
How has his special teams work being going ? That also could factor in playing time on the field ... or Not.

I'm not calling for Cox to get on the field, but I'm not exactly eager to cut him either.
This isn't preseason. They're fielding whoever they think gives them the best chance to win.I'm thinking Quinn didn't like the pick. Because with LVE and Barr being one year rentals it only makes sense to give Cox some playing time.
Remember the talk was he was a coverage linebacker, which means his technique against the run gets him washed out more than the others.
