Cutler was had for two firsts and a third at 25 years old that hasn't even gone to the playoffs yet.

What do you think Romo's value is if he is on the market right now? This is just for fun. Would he warrant the same value as Cutler? more? Explain why.

he's not for sale there for he has no value there for this is not fun there for end of thread/

Cutlers age played a lot in the Broncos compensation.

He's also not nearly as good a player, has health concerns (diabetes) and lifestyle concerns. He's unlikely to have a 10 year playing career.

Hard to say what the trade value is for a player who won't be traded. I'd be asking for 2 #1s and a probowler at another position.

I wouldnt give up a franchise QB for 5 first round draft picks.

Thats right 5 of them.

Take any team in the leagues last 5 first round picks and see how many of the players are as valuable as a QB like Romo.

I dont really value first round draft picks like so many people do.
It seems like just as many good players are not first round picks as they are first round picks.

Especially QB's. It is a real gamble.
Rarely do franchise QB's come along.
The Bears have been trying to years to get one. So they finally gave up and traded for one.

I understand and I could argue the same. But the market would argue with you. Jim Brown couldn't get 5 firsts if he were playing now. Risks of injury or off field issues make any one player have a much greater risk of failure than 2 players much less five.

But trading a franchise QB is a risky move. The Bears are at risk as well altho I think they made a very smart move to acquire him and to get Pace to protect him.

according to this site, its probably a future 7 and a bucket of fried chicken.

i would say this, and mind you im just giving a scenario,

say romo doesnt cut it this year, but has another 9-7 season or 8-8,

then his value to me, would be say a 1, 1, 3, and a pro bowl player and say a 3rd that could go up to a 2nd pick in the 2nd year, somehing like that

n other words kinda like the trade that the cowboys got for hershel walker

again, im not saying trade romo, just giving you a scenario

All QBs look good playing with an amazing WR. I don't think anyone paid much for Garcia.

Your problem is you don't know what the hell you are watching.

Especially if Jerry's doing the drafting!:D

My problem is, I tell the truth. We should all try it once or twice, even behind a computer monitor it's okay to see things the way they really are.

Until Romo proves he can do it without a certain someone, he's an average joe. Did he do some amazing things, yes. All QBs have their moments. But the Quarterbacks who stand out are the one's who take care of business when all is on the line, the rest are pretenders and so far, that's all Romo is.
