Whats the big deal about Jordy Nelson?

Exactly both had big problems. wouldnt you agree Calvin is a better WR? he was taken out of the game. See no difference this game.

Agreed. A healthy Megatron is in whole different class than Jordy Nelson.

I'd say the difference comes down to Stafford for Rodgers. Rodgers typically has pinpoint accuracy and great anticipation and allows his guys to catch the ball on the run.

I kinda wonder if the Packer's' timing based passing game will be adversely affected by the weather.

I think it will. Think the best running attack will win this game. And when it comes to OL id take Dallas over any defense.

He's not real big, not real strong, not real fast, but he's got a lot of heart, and he's a student of the game, a natural leader and gym rat, he's a real first-in-last-out kind of guy!

Other than having a great QB to get him the ball I don't understand why is considered a top tier WR. He has always reminded me of a Joe Jurevicius type but only slightly better.
Your thoughts?

Did anyone else just see Sturm tweet a picture of this post? Not exactly the PR the zone wants I'm sure.

I think he is faster than Dez and runs better routes.

I would not trade him for Dez, Dez is one of a kind

What if you had the choice of Nelson at 9M or Dez at 16M per season and the extra 7M was the difference in signing or not signing the best Free Agent DLineman?

I would take Jordy. It would be tough though because Dez is almost an automatic TD inside the 5 yard line one on one.

I will say though that I cannot measure the intangibles that Dez provides to this team so the on the field production is not the only factor here and would effect the decision.

You think D Jackson and TY Hilton are better than Jordy Nelson?
I guess you're entitled to an opinion.....you would for sure be in the minority though.
Maybe sub in Antonio Brown and D Thomas to get a slightly better argument.

AT CATCHING THE DEEP PASS. Pay attention to what is going on man.

And even if I wasn't talking about just the deep pass, you act Jordy Nelson is so much better than those two. I would consider both of those receivers on par with Nelson. Hilton and Jackson are Pro Bowl WRs.

Ouch.

If they are both FAs, I would probably go Dez just off of ability. Jordy is really good, but would he be that good with the Jets.....probably not. Dez is great with whoever (if they are winning) so I would probably take him, although the addition of a pass rusher makes it difficult.

You would have to give me alot more than 7 million for that pass rusher to tempt me, good ones cost alot more than that and I would rather have a face for the franchise like Dez.

The scenario wasn't to get a D-lineman for $7 million. It was to use the $7 million difference and apply it to getting a D-lineman. If a team had $20 million to spend on two players paying Dez $16 million would leave $4 million to spend on another player. Now add that $7 million difference to the $4 million left and you have $11 million.

Like I said...politely btw...."you are entitled to your opinion"

And yes, if your only talking about the deep ball, it does make it a closer comparison.
imo

Of course its just a hypothetical situation, but sometimes loyalty means something to players in this business.

I still go with Dez, and all the other money has to fit around his salary.

Hes Good, and a good route runner. Having Aaron helps, but he puts up numbers.

Hard to take this question seriously. Nelson has been destroying defenses for some time now and clearly a very intelligent, disciplined receiver with tremendous athletic ability. No one has figured out a way to take him out of a game. The dude makes plays and is deadly after the catch.

He's definetly talented, but It's also a good Combo, put him on a team with a low rated passer, and he does not have all the numbers, one supports the other. He'd be awesome with Tony at the helm, but with Fitzpatrick or a bust of a passer, not so, not to take away from his talent, but on the same note, put pressure on Rodgers on Sunday and he will not be as much of a threat.
