The 93 cowboys rolled through a bunch of teams in the top 10 defensively. They beat the giants (no 1 defensively) 31-9, bills (no 5) 30-13, jets (no6) 28-7, Cardinals ( no 7) 17-10 and packers ( no 9) 36-14.

  1. So I'm having a hard time understanding how an excellent defensive can just negate an excellent offense.
  2. Since the 93 cowboys offense faced so many top 10 defenses and rolled them wouldn't this indicate that the 93 offense is far superior than our current version
This post is just for fun. No agenda. Just wanted to discuss offense vs defense and old vs new cowboys. So don't get carried away

The Ravens lead the NFL in fewest points allowed per drive this season. They've allowed an average of 1.41 points per drive against all the teams they've faced except Dallas. They allowed 3.00 points per drive vs. the Cowboys. More than double their average.

Their fans (and probably most of their players and coaches; definitely their QB) had a hard time understanding how a rookie QB could throw for 300 yards and a 127 rating against that defense. But sometimes an excellent offense negates an excellent defense.

Nothing trollish about it.

I get how people revere Romo, but it is not like we have that type of QB just sitting there on the bench. In his prime, he was not like a Brady or Manning. No shame in it, but the longer he is gone, people forget that he was not perfect. And it is unfair to expect him to pop off the bench and save the franchise after a two year layoff and a myriad of injuries.
