This explanation doesn't wash. You're asking about Folk, not the coverage units. He has very little to do with coverage except for depth of his kicks. He hasn't been as amazing as he was in college on the kickoffs, but "dead leg?"

Please.
The lack of depths in Folk's kicks do not seem to be counterbalanced by an increased hang time to me. Therefore, I see his short kicks as putting our coverage units in a bad situation. I actually thought that our coverage units were better than usual today. But when your kicker isn't putting KOs past the 10, it isn't going to reflect in the opposition's average starting field position like it should.

I am a fan of Folk and have been happy with him all year. But denying his recent problems with kickoffs is just choosing to wear the blinders.

You jerked the knee.

Noone's burying anyone here. Seems a legit question, one that will probably be asked (ie. was it intentional or not?) in an upcoming pc. You'd have to assume it's intentional, if not - I'd have to assume he is hurt.
Did I?

Maybe it's just that I know questions like this elicit responses like this.

Every single week. 10-1 and we're still trying to bury guys who are part of an amazing team and producing.

Unreal.
True. But, we play teams like GB and NE (super bowl baby!) where field position is very important and I don't want to see Favre or Brady starting every drive at their own 35 or 40 yard line all day.

Maybe they'll have to amputate that dead leg. Boy won't I have egg on my face when they do?

His kickoffs have been pretty bad and today watching him in warmups his field goals were awful.

He was struggling to make 35 yarders and 40 yarders in warmups but I could tell he was doing something to change his plant foot each time.

Does this make sense that maybe his leg is just getting a little worn out? Or do you think that maybe the cold affected him today. And yes it was cold and windy, considering sunday I wore shorts and a t-shirt under my jersey and it was 80, todays 40 and rain was very cold...

The packers are going to score points everytime they touch the ball if we keep giving it to them at the 36.

I don't think the Packers are going to score every time they touch the ball.

As far as Folk, I don't know if his leg gets tired because I have not studied whether his kickoffs are strong at the begining and shorter as the game prolongs.

If he kicks the way he did tonight and in recent games, it will be a problem against good teams.

Hey, I am just trying to figure out what could be wrong with the kid, because what we are currently seeing is different than what we were getting earlier this season. But thanks for treating this as an eduncan Henry thread anyway.

Dude, I am not saying anything bad about the guy why are you getting all mad?

I am simply asking something is affecting him. I heard brad sham during the week that his kickoffs being short have been due to a technical mistake he has been making on his approach to the kick.

I love the guy. the ball was not coming off his leg the same today.

Oh and I just realized there is a thread on this so go ahead and delete or merge this.

2 of his FG misses are over 50 yards and the other was blocked. He hasn't missed a PAT. Yeah, he's slipping.

But just for you, fine. I will shut up. Diagnose away.
