What's wrong with Folk?

2 of his FG misses are over 50 yards and the other was blocked. He hasn't missed a PAT. Yeah, he's slipping.

he is perfect from anywhere in the 30s and 40s.

He looked weak in pregame warmups today though..Laufenberg said on the radio from watching him warmup and then the kickoffs that he maybe suffering from a tired leg.

The focus of this thread was never his FGs or PATs. It is the lack of distance we have seen on his KOs over the last couple of weeks. I will admit, the 46 yard FG he kicked today really opened my eyes because for a second, it didn't look like it had enough distance. Prior to that kick, I had put more credence into the theory that the coaches were asking him to kick it shorter than the theory that there was something wrong with Folk. Bash me if it makes you feel better, but it seems to me that there is something wrong.

Lots of (if not most) things on this forum fall under the category of hand wringing for no good reason. Trust me, I was told to shut the hell up about "all the small things" by my family about 20 times today during and after our dominating win. But if we want to be the best, we have to acknowledge our apparent weaknesses. Right now, our kickoffs jump out to me. I'd love to have the data to compare the yardline our coverage has been meeting the ball over the last couple of weeks to the beginning of the season...but I don't. I am basing my judgment on my admittedly faulty memory and perceptions. I just thought I would see what other die-hards had to say re: this issue.

folk is having problems with his kickoffs...no one is burying anyone who doesnt deserve it...these problems are there...why take a blind eye to them? and i didnt appreciate you calling me a liar about roy not watching as much film as he should...i was at work and could not respond...check your DMN blogs for roy's work ethic and lack of film watching before spouting off about me.

Since you are on a computer you may feel that it is ok to question someone's character...thats up to you...if that makes you feel good have at it but truthfully your own character is what is in question because you have no idea what you are talking about.

I still dont think that we are better than a healthy colts or patriots...there may be another team or two in the AFC that could beat us...we have weaknesses. I also could be wrong about the whole thing. We will see if we make it to the superbowl.

Where is he looking to bury him? To me it seems he is merely concerned with our kickers ability to kick the ball deep, be it on kickoffs or field goals.

Everyone here is thrilled with the best start to franchise history, its just we worry about our teams' weaknesses, and hope they improve from week to week.
