the 95 team was nails. Resilient. The 94 team might have been even better. Even Aikman said that.
With the start we had in that 1994 NFCCG, a lot of teams would have lost 48-7

Instead we made them sweat

We just had a horrible start and couldn't overcome it

We discussed the Dez catch/non catch above but honestly the non PI call when Deion raked Mike's arms inside the 10 bothers me more

We get that PI call there which was very obvious, IMO we would have completed the comeback and we're talking about a 4peat

Again we made a lot of mistakes in that game but we had momentum and had them on their heels and that clearly blown call completely halted it

That's one call I'll complain about til my dying day. And I don't focus a lot on calls

great point. We had their number. But the ref blew it.

Not only did they NOT flag deion then they DID flag Switzer 15 for (justifiably) going off about it. Literally a 50 yard swing on one play

That one hurt

We had so many great teams that didn’t win a championship.

1978, 1994, 1970, 1967 , 1981 all were great enough to win championship. Coming so close. Losing to some of the greatest teams in NFL history.

Cowboys went to 12 championship games in 17 years . Could have won 7 or 8 in that era.

Cowboys IMO could have 10-12 Super Bowl rings total. Unfortunately none from this era have been great enough.

Favorite? 1992
The best? 1993, possibly 1977

1994/5 added Larry Allen but the depth was about gone. If the 1994 team didn’t lose Eric Williams, they probably end up ranking. That hurt.

Don’t forget about all the juggernauts Jerry has put together since though.

“How to run a stacked roster into the ground” by Jerry Jones. Would be a helluva read.

Before you try to counterpoint that….I suggest reviewing the 1994-2001 drafts.

The '92 team. I was around for 6 and 12, but Jimmy's quick build was a rush. Go Cowboys!

that 2014 team was special and the refs killed our season. We beat very good teams that year. We were feared because we had everything. We had a run game that was elite. Very physical.
Had our third best back ever. DeMarco was awesome.

I think it's been mentioned, but Dorsett's first year with the team. Dorsett, Preston Pearson, Robert Newhouse in the backfield, Staubach at QB. The Cowboys defense absolutely destroyed the Broncos in the Super Bowl. Cowboys actually fumbled 5 or 6 times that game and still won. Thank god Craig Morton was the QB, lol.

Watching Dorsett in 76 with Pitt, I dreamed of him playing for the Cowboys, but thought there was no way it would happen. Well it did, and it was just what we needed to get over the hump again. Damn I loved those teams. A legitimate chance every year to go all the way.

My favorite non-SB winning team was the ‘75 “Dirty Dozen” team that had the “Hail Mary” win at Minn and won the NFC championship against the highly favored rams in LA. They lost to the Steelers 21-17 in SB X. It was such a fun season.

Those Super Bowl losses to the Steelers just devastated me. I live in Central PA, and it was so hard having to go to school after those losses. Both of those losses could have been wins, I mean come on, 2 Super Bowls lost by 4 points each. Jackie Smith, nuff said.

Super Bowl team: 1996 team.

Non-Super Bowl team: 2007

Both teams were fun to watch and had some great weapons. I believed in both. One proved me correct and the other burnt me.

Does anyone think the 93 Cowboys were actually better than 92?
I do. They Cowboys started off a little shaky in 1992. They got better. They picked up right where they left off in 1993. Three out of their four losses came either without Emmitt Smith, and the miracles at Texas Stadium. I think the Cowboys peaked in 1993.
