My '70s Cowboys were the greatest teams in franchise history they made us America's team they were what every team aspired to be.
They were led by the greatest figures in football Tom Landry and Roger Staubach The Best of the Best unequaled leaders that could make the rest of any team play way above their heads
Put my defensive lines from the '70s on the field for the rest of the season and we win the super bowl guaranteed

The 92 Cowboys. That was the best Cowboys championship team. Another reason it was my favorite was because it was the first Cowboys championship team in 15 years and I saw them win it in person at the Rose Bowl. Went through a lot of heartbreaks from Jackie Smith’s drop in Super Bowl Xlll to Dwight Clark’s catch in the 81 Conference Title game. We also had to endure a 3-13 and 1-15 team in the late 80s. It was such a relief to win Super Bowl XXVll. One of my happiest moments as a Cowboys fan.
It was the first Cowboys team I saw win a title (I was 10) and as a result will always have a special place in my memories.

Cowboys in 93 would have definitely would have had a better record had Emmitt not held out. 14-2 or better

70s squads could never beat their arch rival the Steelers to exorcise their demons
1977 team for me, had rebuilt after the missed playoff season in 1974, I felt they could win SBs several times in the next few years, with young studs like Randy White and Dorsett on the team.

But the 1995 team is a close second, mainly because they avenged the losses to the Steelers, not the same teams but if the Steelers had won that game, it'd be another "We own you" comment from Pittsburgh. And many were saying the Cowboys were washed up after the 1994 loss to the Forty whiners, Dallas proved them wrong!

There were over 4 minutes left when Dez caught it but the defense couldn't get the ball back
Yes, and beyond that, let's assume Dallas was allowed the catch and then scored a td from the 1. GB would have had at least 3 minutes after that, needing only a fg to win (if Dallas went for 1 after the td, very possible, even if they got a 2pt conversion, a fg ties it for GB).

Given that Rodgers was in his prime in 2014, do we really think he couldn't have gotten at least 3? And maybe even a td?

Then the Dez catch would be a footnote in history...

2014 Team was the most special in recent times. The 92 and 93 Teams were so much fun to watch in my Jr High School years. I hope I live long enough to see Dallas hoist that trophy again someday.

I was born in 85 so I wasn't old enough to really appreciate the teams of the 90s so I'm gonna go with 2006. Romo coming in was a gargantuan boost from Dude Bledslow. We all know how that season ended but if not for that we might've gone all the way. Parcells thought so too.

oh man one of the last snaps I remember Bledsoe taking he got lit up absolutely destroyed because he had concrete in his shoes. Romo coming in was like night and day because he was WAY more mobile. Romo had his faults, but man was he a lot of fun to watch.

I'm torn between 1992 and 1993. That was my favorite time to be a Cowboys fan.

Campo's second 5-11 team.
Yes if that's the year he went to SeaWorld and wore his wetsuit in front of the team. Nothing could comand more respect. The bonus was watching Chad Hutchinson on his guitar.

that 2014 team was special and the refs killed our season. We beat very good teams that year. We were feared because we had everything. We had a run game that was elite. Very physical.
The fact that team didn’t make it to the Super Bowl is criminal.

That 2014 team was special. They just ran into an all time QB in Rodgers in the snow at Lambeau.

If you drop that squad into the 2023 season, I think they win the NFC.

Whats your favorite Cowboy's team?

All of them. All of them since I became a fan of the franchise. All of them that came before that or even those before I was born.

Seasons? That would be a good question. My favorite seasons were 1971, 1977, 1992, 1993 and 1995. My near favorite seasons were 1966, 1967, 1970, 1972, 1973. 1975, 1978 and 1994. My most frustrating seasons were 1980, 1981 and 1982  but no comment about the 2016 season :p.

That logic has always been how I've coped with the BS non-catch. I don't necessarily believe we were robbed of a victory, but more so some late minute drama. That defense would've folded like a lawn chair against Rodgers. Remember the year before they were historically bad. The best thing we had going for us was keeping opposing offenses off the field.

This year's team. Did you see how they manhandled the Commanders on Thanksgiving? I think that was the greatest game I've ever seen. :muttley:

1981 hit the sweet spot for me. Dorsett’s best season, last minute comebacks, 4 out of the 5 losses were tight games, the catch was terrible, but it was my high school friends who were into the NFL that made it memorable and an enjoyable season.
