3500 yards passing is not anything to write home about.

He is 17th in passing yards per game...

yes 3500 yards passing for a season isn’t an exceptional number. But this is a run first offense after all. And it will remain a run first offense with or without Zeke.

The point of my post is, that the passing offense isn’t really “struggling” this season. The passing offense has been overal very efficient so far. But this offense is not designed to put up 350 yards a game. That is never the teams game plan.

Dak still has things he has to improve on, as any 2nd year QB does. But the other poster trying to lay the “WR’s struggles” solely at Dak’s feet is asinine.

Dak is not a gunslinger high risk/ high reward QB. That is not his playing style and I am perfectly fine with that. The guy is a field general IMO.

Dak is conservative and Dez doesn’t seem to have that same leaping ability right now...

Because Romo explained the route to Dez before each play.

Romo: Dez, don't worry about the play call. Just line up over there, count to 5 while running then turn towards the sideline and look back.

Romo: This time count to 3 and turn away from the sideline.

Romo: Stand at the line and I'll throw it to you.

Romo kept it simple. Very very simple.

I will refrain from what I want to say because apparently Dez criticism is off limits.

I don't think there is a QB in the league that throws a less catchable ball than Dak throws to Dez. I really don't know what the problem is.

Maybe because Dez runs terrible routes that put Dak in a no win situation when trying to get him the ball. Dez allows the corners to shield him near the sidelines. His route running is very sloppy.

Dez is no longer playing at the same level as he did in 2014 the days of him running down the sidelines and leaping three or four feet off the ground are over. he can be used effectively in side like they're starting to do now.
Either they change his role or he won't be on the team next year.
