Can you stop it with this Prescott baloney. CD looked way worse with Cooper rush out there. But that’s not the conversation you can’t help it.
Can you STOP insulting your Idol by comparing him to a 2 million $ back-up QB?
Tad will be mad............. :muttley:

Jimmy won the national championship in Miami. I will not let you Jimmy haters keep omitting that fact.

Jimmy wasn't going to leave until Jerry picked a fight with him. He was talking with Deion and other free agents for potential signings for 1994 before the Jerry incident.

And Jimmy is the sole reason for that team. It was in his contract that he was GM and HC. Jerry just signed checks, which is the only football "skill" that Jerry has.
How am I a Jimmy hater. waiting...

Jimmy never stayed anywhere for too long. That team really was the perfect storm situation because Jimmy didn't do anything in Miami. He was a very important piece to that team but even Switzer was able to stumble around and luckily win a SB. Sure it was the team that Jimmy built and Jimmy deserves a lot of credit for it but he's not the sole reason for that team.
Jimmy was the main reason those teams were great.....

Why does everyone crap on Parsons so much? Are you all still so upset about his podcast? Newsflash - all players have hobbies outside of football. Every single one. Because he said something that could be construed as disparaging against the coach? So what? Pretty much everyone on this site has said things much worse. He's the best player on the defense. He clearly loves football. You can tell he wants to play, he wants to win. It's discouraging to put your all into something, then going out there and knowing regardless of how well you play, you will lose the game.
I wish they would let him go after his performance in the playoff games....

My personal opinion
Even though I wanted to draft the individual
Micah Parsons .
. Like him, dislike him, on the edge about him.
This is when the team started to go backwards. We’ve started to play like individuals and not a team. And individuals don’t win.
, Trade him or keep him
Personal accomplishments instead of team accomplishments.Serving team not self. I played on miserable teams for two years no wins and one tie and I played my last year on a very good team that lost district on the last game. On the losing teams we didn't play for each other and the winning team we absolutely did. Big difference. But Micah seems to be a me first guy and it pains me to type that. Not sure that is when things started to go backwards but at some point it did.

2016 is when they dumped the vet Romo when he got healthy to go with the 4th round 3rd stringer because the team was “hot”. Thanks Zeke!

Therefore sealing the teams fate and committing to not taking the QB position seriously.
LOL....ok

How is he not focused on football? Does this go back to having interests that don't involve football? Please. How would you feel if you were fired from your job because you go home at the end of the day and do something that isn't work related.

Me first? Didn't he just make a comment about wanting to play hard for the guys like Martin who were at the end of a HoF career and deserved a championship?

Pads his stats (aka plays well) against lesser teams and disappears when it matters. This I don't disagree with. I put this partially on the coaching staff playing him at DE as "when it matters" is usually later in the season. I attribute it to getting run down over the course of the season. He's too small to be a full-time DE. He needs to play more at LB and use him as a blitzer to get after the QB. He clearly has the speed to play sideline-to-sideline so that would likely help the run defense as well.
running a business that you are the primary contributor to it, takes a lot of time. running a business is a full time job. so him running a podcast is a full time job. that takes away from football time. the greats, like Aikman, Manning, Brady were notorious for their film study habits. football was #1 business. they focused on the mental aspects of the game and learned every year. Brady, with 6 rings, still would have off season throwing coaches helping him.

now, does this mean other players don't have business interests? no, they do, but somebody else is running the business and they are involved with finances, etc. not running the show, planning, scheduling, etc.

and it shows on the field. he has natural ability and against lesser opponents that natural ability is enough for him to do things. you play against better opponents, with better skills, then what you just do doesn't work. that's when you have studied the opponent, know their tendencies, their moves, their little nuances.

and all you have to do is look at his game stats and you will see he tends to disappear against better opponents. not that he is a zero factor, its not a 100% one way or the other, but his playoff performance and his performance against better teams is average to below average.

and coming out of college, that was the book on him. very talented. very skilled. physically gifted, but immature, tends to lose focus, etc.

I can't with some of you. Those of you who feel these guys should be wrapped up in football 24/7. Like wake up, watch film, work out, watch film, work on technique, watch film, sleep, repeat until game time. No one does that. They would be burned out by week 3. Every single player has hobbies outside of football, outside of watching film and studying tape. Many have wives, kids, familes, that I assure you take up much more time than running a podcast does. And by the way, it's a podcast, not a radio show. It honestly doesn't take that much effort. Literally anyone with a smartphone can start a podcast. If he gave up the podcast do you think he would magically start dominating his opponents? No. His performance is less against better competition...really? Why do you think that is? Because they are better. Also, I'm not sure if you've noticed but our defense is rather terrible at the moment so it's not like opposing offenses need to focus on others so they are free to double and triple team Parsons. You're just not seeing the whole picture here.

This team peaked 2 years ago. Then they reached in the last two drafts with their #1 pick, and let Noah Brown, Dalton Schultz, Michael Gallup, Biadasz, Bohanna, McGovern, Armstrong, Barr, Kearse, Anthony Brown and Vander Esch, all starters, leave.

And I didn't even count Zeke. That's 50% of your starting lineup. All you can do now is blow it up. Average lines, way below LB and S play, no running game, QB's best days are behind him. No money to spend and Micah is due.

His fans, like you, made me like this.
No. We didn’t. Trolls become trolls way before anyone reacts to them.

The fact you said this started in 2016 and blamed Dak lol, when we had Quincy Carter and Romo tells me you’re here solely for trolling. You have nothing meaningful to bring to the board, you are simply here to get a rise out of people. And I finally am going to be blocking you for good. You bring nothing here except vitriol and negativity. We agree on a lot of stuff, but you blaming a guy that wasn’t even a teenager when this franchise started going bad for everything wrong with the franchise solidified to me your purpose for living. And I will no longer feed you.

Good day troll.

I didn't say he should be wrapped up 24x7....but then again, that's what the great ones did. football above all else. its only 4 months during the season. then the off season routine. and if its what you love to do, then that's what you do. I love what I do. I wake up at 3:00 AM and can't sleep and get up and go work on my stuff. that's what being passionate about something means.

and its not about giving up podcast, but take the time it takes during the week to study more film. work on more moves. whatever else to better your craft. if he doesn't do that and just lays on the couch playing Madden, then its no good.
btw, this is not about this year alone, but Parsons previous years. again, just look at his performance against better teams and in the playoffs vs. against lesser competition.

now, am I saying he is not a good person or he doesn't have the right to do what he does? no, not saying that, but that's the difference between being really good or being one of the all time greats, specially when you have the physical ability. its the mental part of the game that sets you apart.

with that said, good for parsons. he can do whatever he wants. as a GM, I would trade him now, because he would have highest value. get a couple of first round picks. and with the additional picks I get from comp picks, I can manuver the draft, trade into the future and get more picks and help the team rebuild. parsons is not the difference between a superbowl team and not a superbowl team as evident. we need a bold move like we did with Walker trade to rebuild. but it won't happen. why? because Parsons is 6th in jersey sales in the league and 1st for the cowboys and Jerry will not trade that for anything, as he won't get money in return.

when fans accepted mediocrity.

no matter the talk, JJ has the franchise where he needs it.

I stress this so fans undertsand. The stadium mkaes money year round, this means teh average ticket sales mean little, plus for knowledge, stadiums make more bang off the corporate sales. So stop with taht nonsense.
than the media still talks about his team. He has thansgiving every year.

Precisely where he wants to be. Money, media, equals perfection.

Accept it.
