I would truly like to see Cowboys make a move on trading up, atleast see what it would take and seriously consider it. I want that franchise qb. We can continue toying around with guys who are at the end of their career, but to be successful and with todays parity, we need to go with someone who is gonna be around for more than 1 to 2 years.

Move up and get Vince Young, that would be my one great move in the draft.
Saying that, I will not pretend to say that I have been all on top of things amongst those in the college ranks, so there may be others at #18.

I may be in the minority but I say if Jay Cutler is there @ 18 we take him.

Well if you look at last years draft Aaron Rodgers at one point was considered the best QB in the draft and he slid all the way to 24th so chances are there will be a good QB at 18.

Aaron Rogers is not and never will be a franchise QB and if Cutler slides to 18 he won't be either.

Wait till next year. We have more pressing needs at the moment. Besides, nobody but Bledsoe is going to see playing time as long Parcells is the coach.

I predict Bledsoe's last year as the Cowboys Starting QB will probably be the 2007 season...

They should draft a QB in the 2007 draft to sit behind Bledsoe and learn for one season.

I suspect Parcells and Bledsoe will retire after the 2007 season....

2 seasons to get the Lombardi trophy!!!

It WILL happen!!

Believe!!!!!!!

I would be shocked (but happy) if BP drafted a QB this year.

Exactly, we should take Jacobs at 18, he's more accurate and a better decision-maker. I don't why everyone has fallen for Cutler, he's this years Kyle Boller.

Romo will take over for Bledsoe. We may still draft a guy, but I believe they are planning on Romo being QB in the future. He's going to cost around $1 mil on the cap next year AND we refused to trade him for a 3rd rounder this past year.

I don't think they plan on Romo being the future at all. I just think they refused to trade him because Parcells is scared to death of having to play Henson if Bledsoe goes down.

I would look for us to draft a QB next year to sit behind Bledsoe for a season as KingTuna suggests.

Wait till next year, and s3ee if we can make a move to get Brady Quinn, who was by far hands down the best QB this past college season.

Do not want Lienart, I Norm Chow will push hard for the Titans to draft him. Other than Lienart, maybe Drew Stanton, from Michigan St.?

There are not any good QBs coming out this draft, all of them have flaws some with major flaws.
I would rather wait till next season's draft, or make a trade or free agency this season.

Bill will not draft someone at 18 who's not ready to help him this year, so forget your dreams of a QB.

So why then don't we kill two birds with one stone and try to land Matt Schaub or Dave Garrard? They're both young with lots of upside, fitting our criteria for "QB-of-the-future", AND they have already proven themselves to be able to succeed in the NFL so they could step in and start right away. Why draft a QB and have to wait 2-900 years for him to develop (like we're doing with Henson) when we might be able to get someone who has that developmental "head-start" of 1 or 2 years of experience under his belt and is ready to go? Package that 2nd-round pick (along with G. Ellis or another draft pick/expensive player) that we might have used on a QB in a trade for Schaub or Garrard. For a cheaper price, maybe we could land TEN backup QB Billy Volek if TEN drafts Matt Leinart/Vince Young...

I think we'll go into next year with the same three we have now, unless Henson stinks it up in Europe so bad that we bring in a new #3.

If this is BP's last season, then we may try to find our new QB a year from now. Otherwise, I think it'll be at least two years away.

To me, I would rather get a new QB from the draft and prepare for the future. (but that's a dream)

So since it's a dream, we need to focus in on Bledsoe. Bringing in a rookie would give Bledsoe just a little concern thus messing with his play on the field. We need Bledsoe to focus in on the offense, and not worry about his job since BP wants to win now.

If this next season he produces or not, you bring in fresh blood.
