When does Hardy become an option?

Can/Do you read? I clearly wrote "I'm not saying we are going to re-sign the guy" in my first post, that my issue wasn't with his prediction but the manner in which it was announced

Your issue was with the amount of certainty that certain posters have about Hardy not returning. There are certain factors out there regarding Hardy that haven't been reported which are absolutely relevant to the fact that he won't be returning to the Cowboys under any circumstance. Take that for what it's worth (which may be absolutely nothing to you, and that's O.K.) but, I'm willing to put my own cash up based upon things that I've been told (and no, I'm not sharing as I've already given my word that I wouldn't).

Good for you, glad you're so confident in these sources. Me on the other hand? Not so much, and while I hope this front office will re-sign Hardy (Bc there are no better options out there right now and I am NOT confident in the DL we currently have), I do not have the slightest bit of good faith in Jerry & co to do so...

I understand the lack of faith in the FO to get this properly addressed this off-season. I share it with you, bro. I just know that Hardy won't be a part of the plan. It is what it is.

You are not willing to share your inside story, but want to bet people on the veracity of it? Will this inside information eventually become public when he is signed by an opposing team?

Tough to say. It may come out eventually anyway but it is a bit of a delicate situation. If you doubt it, I'm willing to wager with you also (no need to get crazy if you wish not to. Hell I'll even go with a $25.00 gift card). My point is that I'm absolutely certain that I won't be paying out one nickel under any circumstance. People can choose to believe it or not. It doesn't matter to me.

Is there a CHANCE that my information is wrong? Sure. I'm willing to bet that it isn't. The action (or inaction) from the team re: Hardy supports what I'm hearing. The wild card is Jerry. I have a feeling he'll be Manziel'd on this one as well if he dips his toe, though.

You keep ignoring the off the field issues Hardy brings. You can't have a player on your team who's a distraction, causes problems that take away from the play on the field and brings a negative energy to the locker room. None of that seems to get through to you and there's really no point arguing it any further. With Chris Long no longer available in free agency it's looking like the Cowboys first pick will be a DE unless Jalen Ramsey is still on the board and they go with a corner.
 
Unlike last year, he's not coming off a year long suspension. He'll have a full offseason, all of OTAs, full training camp, and a few preseason games. That will get the rust off.

He needs to be signed. We're not Seattle or the Ravens defensively. He's not a luxury. Versatile pass rushers don't grow on trees. He should come cheap. Do it Stephen.

Interesting, I don't disbelieve you.

We've publicly heard negative coments by an underperforming teammate and Garrett (faint praise) but Hardy has had positive endorsements from the defensive captain an the DC. Without getting specific (verbatims), is the source of discontent primarily originating from the HC's office?

Not one Cowboys player has stated they want Hardy back?

And none of the other 31 teams seem interested either?

He participated in OTA's, a full training camp and preseason games last year. It was all the partying he reportedly did that caused him to fade as the season wore on.

Here's what Mincey had to say about Greg, to balance things out a bit. He's talking about having a feeling of cohesiveness back in the Cowboys locker room. And about himself being a leader, as opposed to Greg Hardy being the leader:

"I think it will be good for the younger guys, which I don't know how they feel about him personally, I mean I haven't spoke to them or asked," Mincey said. "It would be me or him, you see what I'm saying? Like, you could have either or. It's hard to have two type of line mentality guys in one room, so it's tough to figure out who the younger guys are going to follow. Of course they're going to look up to a guy who's a prolific player. But I just understand the game, and I know what it takes to win."

Absolutely bring him back. What other options do we have at this point? He's better than any other FA out there right now.
