When is the last time we all out spanked a team?

When I think of the "All-Out spank a team", I am thinking of what Dallas did to the Eagles back in 2005.

If you remember correctly, it started out as the Bledsoe to Terry Glenn show. Then the Dallas defense clamped down as a rookie named Demarcus Ware and Terrance Newman registered sacks. Safety Roy Williams made some big tackles on Terrell Owens that forced Philly punts.

The one score by the Eagles came when a sideline pass to Keyshawn bounced off him and into the hands of Sheldon Brown. That caused a little ruckus on the sidelines afterwards.

All-in-all, the Cowboys won 33-10, and the total yardage was something like 451-119.

THAT IS A BEAT DOWN, FOLKS!

I want to see one of those again before I start to believe this team is anywhere close to championship caliber.

The problem is that the Cowboys were not championship caliber when they registered that beatdown to Philly. So, in and of itself, the beatdown only means they had one good game. I wouldn't mind seeing such a game real soon, though.

In recent memory these are ones that I saw:
34 to 9 over Seattle last year
34 to 10 over Chicago in 07
35 to 7 over Rams in 07 (back to back spankage)
38 to 17 over Eagles in 07 :eagles:

We never pull a NE and blow a team out of the water 55-3 or something.

We've won games 34-9, 34-3, 34-6, 35-7, 38-10 and 45-14 in the past three years.

The last time we won by more than 40 points was 2001, when we blew out Arizona 48-7. It was 48-0 in the fourth quarter before the Cardinals finally scored.

Which one was Turkey Day vs the Bucs? When set some record?

I remember we won 45-14 over Tennessee at Tennessee a couple years ago. Does that count? That 38-10 game against Tampa on Thanksgiving was fun.

Green Bay 2007 was a real spanking. It may not have been score wise but we dominated them from start to finish for homefield advantage in the playoffs. I think that was the game that T.O. tossed an int to Green Bay in the endzone or the score would have been much worse.

By the way that was a big game in Dec - for home field advantage that Romo won - wasn't it;)

That was 2000. I remember that was the game where the Texas Stadium crowd booed Aikman in pre game intros.

I don't think so. To our credit, other than the Eagles debacle this team generally plays to the competition. Just shows that there is actual talent here, but other factors are limiting our success.

Maybe my view of a "spanking" is different than you guys. Maybe the thread starter should have said " when was the last time we blew somebody out?"

My most recent memorable "spankings"?

The Ravens game to close out Texas Stadium. ( they spanked us and flipped off the lights)

The Eagles game ( even the most homeristic admits this)

The Giants game to open the new Stadium ( I know we lost on a last second field goal, but to me, I had already assumed the position cause I knew it was coming)

So in summation, it seems a little foolish to start a thread about our team spanking anybody.

I mean really, we beat the Chiefs in overtime and you really expect us to spank the Falcons? Really? :laugh2:

Just keeping it real folks. :)

We spanked the Panthers in the second half this year.

It took a mistake by Steve Smith to even seal the deal. Btw, the Panthers were winless at the point we played them, so a great team should have spanked them for the whole game.

Nevertheless, my man, we did indeed spank them panthers. We spanked 'em good, and, last time I checked, a spankin's a spankin' just like a win's a win! No one should have to apologize for a spankin'. ;)

Romo's first career start against Carolina when we were down 14-0, and go on to score 35 points unanswered. That was one of my favorite football games to watch. A perfect example of what momentum does in a football game.

Also week 1 of last year we pretty much dominated the Browns 27-10.

Thanksgiving 2008 against the Seahawks.

Edit...rats. Late again.
I was there. and that is my first and last seeing the game in Texas Stadium.
Seahawks are totally dominated by Cowboys. Ware got 3 sacks on Walter Jones that day.
