Weeden is done. He knows it, the coaching staff and front office knows it, the entire NFL and its' collective fanbases know it. Cut him, and let him get on with his life as an insurance salesman or whatever. He's terrible, and his lack of mental and testicular fortitude will only rub off on the other players in the lockerroom if he's allowed to stick around.

He never for started to be considered "done"
Not being cruel.

Jerry and his fascination with first rounders from other teams. Fail.

Yes.

If Romo gets injured again this season, your season is shot anyway.

So cut Weeden and make Cassel the backup. Go with 2 QB's and move somebody up in a different position that has some potential or move up a PS player that you don't want to be taken from another team.

YR

Exactly right.

If Cassel gets hurt... so what? Weeden isn't going to accomplish anything.

Cutting Weedone would say more about our collective desire to elevate and really kick it into high gear for a playoff run this year than anything else. I truly believe our coaching staff is afraid to make a "statement". If they weren't, Randle would have been benched when he finger rolled that two pointer into the basket with his eyes closed after having been told by more than one coach not to do so in the prior week.

Actually they sat him the rest of the first half and he only got 4 more carries the rest of the game.

I wonder if weedon could even be competent in a pik play offense like the pats? Could he anticipate that guy coming open?

When Romo gets back you take away Weedan's clipboard and 1 page Playbook, and send him on a one way trip out of Dallas.

Don't kid yourself. That was less about discipline and more about our inability to this point to visually appear on the offensive end of the ball in the second halves of games since Romo got hurt.

Yes or No?

I know I do

Yes; although they might wait until Romo has played a game.

Weed is a bad QB and I enjoy making fun of him just like everybody else; however, the Cowboys had a chance to win both the Atlanta and Saints games. A little better performance from the defense and they would have won those games.

My point being that there are some QBs that wouldn't give the team a chance to win. Any QB that throws INTs early in games would be worse than Weed.
