I love the possibilities of Dak for our future and keeping us in the hunt until Romo gets healthy. Next year this might be a serious conversation.

But Romo is the best QB at this point in time.

Dak is playing amazing for a rookie and he gives me a lot of hope for the future, he is playing within himself and playing a ball control passing game offense.

But he does not have 1 completion this year that has traveled 20 yards in the air.

Romo will have those type of completions and the running game will open up.

I truly believe he will get there, but there is no question at this point who is the best QB.

Uh you need to read my post again. I did not say we had a complete team. Now in defense of our defense it is better, you may not see it now but it is, it has only been 2 games.

Yah, definitely dont see it about the defense. And even if it was a tiny bit better, its still a bad D. And I highly doubt they will be 2nd in the NFL in turnovers this year like 2014. But none of this matters anyway because this isnt 2014 and the circumstances are totally different, the team is different, the injuries are different, and the other teams in the NFL are different.

I don't get why people are threatened by Prescott doing well. It is only in the best interests of the franchise that he does.

It's simple. It's because then they would have to accept the fact that Romo will need to pass the torch to Dak real soon and they love Romo more than they love the Cowboys. So they look for reasons to make Dak look bad like "He didn't throw any TD's in the game" it doesn't matter to them that we won.

They must be dreading these next 2 games where Dak is going to kill it. There will then be more talk of Dak taking over.

Yeah, it has been all Dan. Dak hasn't looked amazing out there. The media and majority of fans are all blind. Thanks for educating all of us.

Not really amazing. Adequate. As Parcell's's would say, a bus driver. Averaging under 7 yds per catch and 62 percent isn't tearing it up. At least he hasn't turned it over yet.

Why do you have to be such a smart *** when responding, anyway?

I think you have to wait until Tony is ready then compare his last season to what dak is done this year and play the best qb

When you say stupid stuff like Dan is the main reason we are winning or Dak is a bus driver, I have no choice but to call you out. That is just nonsense. Dak has in fact looked amazing out there. He looks like a vet and I'm excited we will have him for a long long time.

I did not read through the thread but anyone saying they should leave Dak as the starter should seriously reconsider. Romo gives us the best chance to win period. We would have won the Giants game with Romo. Romo does not have long in this league anyway. Jerry was full of crap with his Romo longevity predictions.

The concern trolling from people who have been anti-Romo for years about Romo's health is just laughable.

And even if you end up being correct (you're not going to be) and Tony bursts into a cloud of dust on the first hit (he won't), they'll just sweep him off the field and Dak will step in again.

No doubt. I still remember guys like ufc being giddy as a school girl that Sunday morning when Brandon freaking Weeden was going to start over Romo because they were so enamored with his play in the 2nd half of the Skins game.
It's hard to take his posts seriously

Dak has a long way to go before he can be described as "amazing".

He's done well for a rookie but come on.

ufc also thought it was a good thing Tony went down in 2013 and that Orton would save the day.

Stupid stuff, eh? When he starts making the throws downfield into tight coverage I will believe it. Right now, he is executing the Weedon offense extremely well.

Dak Prescott has exceeded expectations but he had not exceeded the potential of a Romo led offense late into the season.

Of course it also remains to be seen if Tony can reach that potential himself, a fair concern for a 36 year old veteran who has broken bones in 3 of his last 93 plays from scrimmage if you include the preseason.

The fair expectation for Prescott isnt to provide elite results but simply to manage the offense with as few mistakes as possible.

If Dak can do this for his rookie season then it would demonstrate a learning curve that potentially creates elite results for the future.

What we should really be looking for are those players that will step up and compensate for and expected dectease in both QB productivity and leadership. The productivity has to.come from somewhere else, whether that is a stingier defense, more agressive running, or even special teams play.

I havent seen a skill player or a defender that I would designate as Pro Bowl level play......except Baily.

At this point in time Romo is sitting on the sidelines with a broken back. And he hasnt played well since 2014. How effective can he really be when he gets back? You simply cant assume he will be the 2014 Romo. That is a reach. I know Jerry assumes it and I know a lot of fans assume it. Either way, I think we are going to find our regardless of what Dak does. But this Oline is starting to get injured up. Romo is NOT the QB to be back there with 2 or 3 backups in front of him. Leary I think can play great and may be an upgrade. But certainly not Green and we might be looking at Free injured as well?

We definitely need to see more, but its getting to the point where Dak may be better than a broken down Romo.
