I say we add about 3 more one year contracts to his existing contract.

Lock the man in.

He is a Dallas Cowboy.

If he produces like he did last year, and cuts those drops in half, we'd be foolish not to give him some sort of extension.

He is 33 years old.

Playing like a 23 year old and leading the league in TD's etc.
I think Jerry will make this decision based on production.

Lets face it. If TO is still puttng up these numbers in year three dont you think Jerry would resign him?

I don't think they will.

You hope they dont. You want him on the skins.
Its ok. I wanted him when he was with 49ers and Eagles.

He is also injured every year. Not getting any younger, and still a drama queen.

I would stop watching Commanders football if TO ever became a Commander. Same with Vick. I would root and cheer for wins, but I would not watch or spend money on the team in any way. Might even cancel the Sunday ticket.

Haha bull****. Half of our fanbase said the same thing when we brought T.O. in.

And yet, who received the loudest cheers at our first day of TC? Which player sold the most jerseys? #81.

IF one is given, I think it'll be after this season, before his next roster bonus is due. At most, I think only a one-year extension should be given.

Similar to how they did AG. He initially signed a two year deal, got a one year extension w/some guaranteed money. If TO makes it out of TC, then he'll get the rest of his salary.

Hold up. If you're a true fan, even if you are a Commanders fan, no one... no player, etc.... should EVER make you stop watching your team. EVER.

But, if you did stop watching the Commanders, it's no skin off my nose. :)

Great example of your fanbase I suppose.
I am not that type of fan. Sorry. And nor am I a liar.

I wouldn't watch. I won't speak for other fans just myself.

I should clarify and say as long as he was a member of the team.

If TO has a good-to-excellent year (and this means he shows both performance and leadership)...he should get an extension with some more guaranteed money. The extension would be for one or two years.

Yeah but WG... because they are 3 one year contracts wouldnt it be smart?

I think this would beg a 'what if' scenario:

What if he wanted a contract extension before accepting the final monies outlined in his original contract?

Real easy to say that from the other side of things.

And you are a liar. You'll just never have to prove it.

Not really. He's an older WR who's had injuries in the past four years of his career. I personally want them to go WR early next year no matter how much money they have tied up in he and TG.

Well the ideal scenario is that if one were to be offered, it's offered after this season ends and before any monies of his final year are paid out.

Why in the world would TO sign three one year contracts ....? Unless of course the money is guranteed for all three years, in which case what would be the point of one year contracts as opposed to a three year deal?

Besides, no one signs a one year contract 3 years before it would even kick in.
