I would stop watching Commanders football if TO ever became a Commander. Same with Vick. I would root and cheer for wins, but I would not watch or spend money on the team in any way. Might even cancel the Sunday ticket.

I can sort of understand Mike Vick, but what has TO ever done to get you to give up something you obviously love? There are players on the current Commanders roster that are worse people than TO--though maybe not as annoying. Your team name is a racial slur, so there's not an issue of him sullying the good name of Washington by putting on a jersey.

You don't strike me as the drama queen type yourself S&T, and I'll take you at your word when you say you'd quit watching. My question is, why say such a thing?

Here is some food for thought also...

T.O idolizes Jerry Rice.

He said one of the biggest thing he learned from Jerry wsa how to take care of your body, as it will prolong your career.

Rice caught 92 balls for almost 1200 yards when he was 40.

I'm not saying T.O is Jerry Rice , but.. its not unrealistic to believe that him being is so particular about what he puts in his body and how he keeps his conditioning up that he cant play at a high level until he is at least 36.

I would re-up him just not for 25 million.. Unless of course he improves again on his play and desire this year.

Make no mistake about it , he is playing for an extension and will say/do all the right things this year.

Regardless, I hope he plays well because my popcorn is ready again....

I know you conceded that TO isn't necessarily Jerry Rice, but still I have to say that banking millions on a guy who will be 40 by the time a contract would be up is not a good gamble.

The second and more important point is that it is naive' to think TO would sign a contract for less than he is making now.

Many posters seem to think its all just a matter of the Cowboys doing what they want, when the fact is that TO is going to be TO and Drew Rosenhaus is going to be Drew Rosenhaus and they are going to want an arm and a leg and as many other appendages as they can get before signing an extension.

Why is everyone so excited over giving this guy an extension already? The season hasn't already started, and he's yet to produce much on top of that.

And besides, sometimes I lose sleep over whether the old TO will come out again.
