When will we know this team has turned a corner? When will we know what kind of team this one is?
I’ve said many times, two games is not nearly enough evidence to know what we have with this team. Especially with a ton of new faces to blend into the chemistry.

I’ve said many times, two games is not nearly enough evidence to know what we have with this team. Especially with a ton of new faces to blend into the chemistry.
So....When will will know what we are? These are some signs I think we will see:
- When we see Consistency on both sides of the ball- when we know what both the offense and the defense are going to be able to impose their will consistently. It’s only been two games, and that Carolina game had the feel of a preseason game because of the rustiness of the offense.
- When the receivers start clicking with Dak- there are at least 4 new faces in this “WR by committee” bunch and they haven’t yet figured out how they are going to mesh with Dak. It takes time- especially when you don’t play any in preseason as a team.
- When the defense shows it can shut down a great offense- we haven’t exactly played the cream of the offensive teams yet. But the D has looked very good, especially with pressure. But I want to see how our D stacks up against really good offenses like Atl, New O, and Filly. Stopping 80 year old Eli Manning is one thing. Let’s see how we do with some real QBs.
- When our kicker proves trustworthy- anyone here ready to pronounce absolute faith in Brett Maher? I won’t until I see him show some consistency, especially under pressure. Like making a game winning FG. The margin between winning and losing in the NFL is paper thin every week. Look at how many games early in the season have been decided by a kicker.
- When the HC shows he can make adjustments to what other teams will do- last year, one of the biggest frustrations I had was watching this HC and his staff continue with the same game plan week after week, even when it was obvious the league had figured out how to stop the 2016 blueprint. IMO, it remains to be seen if this coach is capable of making adjustments in game or in season.
Thoughts?
