Where are the "Austin can't run routes/get open" threads now?

For all the "expert" breakdowns that were here last week on how he lacked this and that, so he was incapable of running certain patterns and could get no separation, etc., you would expect the board flooded with these threads assuring gloom and doom.

Very pleased to see that I guess the WR coach really was telling the truth, just like Romo, about what this guy could do. Yes, he did run a double move without falling and yes he did catch a back shoulder pass and finished it with some great work after the catch. Body control, separation.

Yes, I know, one game. HOWEVER. The point is, apparently, he can do everything many swore up and down he couldn't, based on their "expert" opinion. So whose man enough to eat their crow this morning?

I agree, it was only 1 TD catch but people should have never been saying those things about Miles Austin.

People forget, last year, our offense was very efficient with Austin, Crayton and Owens.

When we acquired Roy Williams, I believe that hurt Miles Austin's development.

I believe he would put up numbers equal or even better than Patrick Crayton.

Like Collin Cowherd said yesterday, this will be a product of the fact that this is finally Romo's huddle.

The attack on Miles wasn't his routes or his ability to get open. Speed will do that latter. The attack on him is his ability to sell his fakes. THAT would make him a great receiver. ...as long as he catches the ball! :)

Did you see the fake he put on the safety coming across to make the tackle? If he doesn't do that, he doesn't score the touchdown. I really loved it.

Austin made a nice play, at a very opportune time. But to read the Tampa papers, the safety broke down on the play. In fact, the safety was blamed for all three touchdowns that involved a long pass play.

I'm betting(hoping) on Austin finally arriving this year because of what Romo and the coaches have said,,, but good Lord, a call-out thread after 1 catch in the very first game? That's prematurely premature!

He is getting better, there is no doubt about that. I would really hate if he really matures this year and walks next year.

They are preparing to brand him as fragile the next time he takes a big hit.

Even a blind squirel finds a nut. One catch, one game. If he does that consistantly then I will revise my opinion of him, but to me he is still a journeyman player right now.

If I am not mistaken, I believe most of those posts were in reply to someone who said he had it already in which the reply was something along the lines as he hasn't proven anything yet, but hope he does.

I do not believe the "gotcha" post works in this situation. Most people here I believe think he has potential, just not realized even after this game. Hopefully he builds on it and carries the chip on his shoulder because it should help his game and us to win ballgames.

Anyone with two eyes saw he could do it. My question is: Can he stay healthy and do it for the whole season? That's all...................

Only question I have with Miles is his ability to stay healthy if he does that I think he will be a big contributor to this offense
