It must be a REALLY slow day over at The Ticket. If they posed that question to a few college coaches, they might land themselves a clue or two. The NCAA is the NFL's farm system, after all. The annual lack of available candidates might stem from that particular reality.

There used to be a commercial here for a local indian casino. It was 10 guys lined up for a race, olympic style. 9 of them were black, stereotypically Kenyan, and there was one white guy. The white guy looks over to the camera with a "what am I doing here against these guys expression" and the commercial ends with "Want better odds? Come to yada yada Indian Casino". One of the funniest commericals I've ever seen. They stopped airing it pretty quickly though, probably offended people.

There was an article written about this subject and they decided to put it out there. The article quoted Ozzie Newman, Bobbie Bowden (who had the most controversial but most accurate answer - IMO), Herman Edwards and others.

This is just a silly question and just asking for someone to make it into more than what it is really meant to ask.

I dont care if these guys are green little 3 foot martians like kazoo from the flintstones if they can perform on the field. And I am fairly sure that most coaches, players, owners, and fans dont either.

I like it. That's why I also love Comedy Central's Tough Crowd. They talk about stuff like this and send everybody into a hissy fit who don't get it. We really need to be able to be true to ourselves and then maybe we can be true to each other.
