But the Dak haters love them this choker...

I guess it reminds them of another beloved injury-prone choker?

Dak can't carry Mahomes' shoulder pads.
No. 17 on a good day.

Voted 6-10...I would say somewhere between 8-12 arguably...with some ahead of him not too far from retirement.

I have Mahomes, Rodgers, Wilson, Brady (until he's incapable of throwing he very much ahead of Dak, no contest), Brees, Stafford (highly underrated), BigBen, Ryan, Cousins, Jackson and Watson ahead of Dak. All of those except Jackson are better pure passers. Jackson is ahead of Dak due to his legs, he can run and be decisive about it and that's a greater threat than just being able to run when a wide lane is there.

The only way I see Dak moving up is when players retire, I can't see him being a better passer than where he's currently at. His reads may develop more, but the ability to put the ball in the right spot consistently is capped.

I agree completely on your list up until Ryan. I’d put Dak ahead of him only because of his legs and I just lost faith that Ryan will ever win a big game. I wouldn’t put Cousins above him because he’s a perennial choker with no legs.
No player in the league is more exciting to watch than Watson...however I just don’t see him as very consistent. I’m not sold on Jackson yet, he’s a runner that throws it once in a while. I do agree that Dak is definitely somewhere in that 6-10 range among those, somewhere after Bigben. But if I’m starting a team for a championship run I’d take Dak over a lot of the 6-10 range guys. If you are one to rank Dak in the 6-10 range, look at the guys ahead of him....Bigben, Brady, and Brees are all playing on borrowed time. If Dak continues improving, has a big year (I expect he will), and those guys retire after this season...you probably move Dak into top 5-6 range.

Any QB with our talent on offense would probably invite the argument he is a top 15 QB.
Put Dak on any offense without all that talent and his 21 and lower status will be confirmed in a jiffy.
Dak Prescott will go down as the biggest imposter of a QB in the last 25 years!

I've got him in that 11-15 because I think he has failed to lift a very talented offense with solid OL, run game and WR corps but I am willing to give him credit for improving when I do not think he's had a coaching staff conducive to do that except for Moore.

I had him at 11-15, actually 11th, but he could very well move up and even close to the top 5 this season.

One thing about him, he works at it. I watched him his last two seasons at Miss St and this QB is not that QB. Take his season of fumbles, he worked on that and corrected it. He improved his pocket awareness and he's a top 5 in protecting the ball and not giving the opposition short fields.

What is unfair, but seems to be a characteristic of this site and the one I came from, is that the QB's mistakes get magnified. He can make some great throws and that is expected but have a poor throw, like everyone of them does at some point, and that's what gets discussed.

I think the most impressive thing about Prescott is that he caused Aikman to second guess the commonly held belief that QB accuracy issues don't get fixed in the NFL. He was all over the "sign him" side of this.

Prescott might be at 11 in my ranking but there weren't any other options available this year, so we weren't going to get a top 10 QB.

I put him at 6-10. I think he isn't quite there just yet but has the potential to be top 5 if he keeps working at it.

So far, the 16-32 crowd is about the same as the 1-5 crowd.
Both have equal validity on this site by those standards......about 6% each.
Everyone gets an opinion here!

The other 88% have Dak in the 6-15 range--which is where pretty much every ranking you can find will have him.

There's arguments to be made that Ryan is the 3rd best QB in the NFL.

Aside from Cousins (and Garoppolo), my list is similar to yours.

If Wentz was healthy all the time, I could be talked into Wentz. But this 5th year will be a good one. Wentz Oline getting dinged up already.

I agree. I've always thought Wentz had a higher ceiling than Dak and is a better quarterback. But I simply can't rank him above Dak because Dak has been far more dependable, available and healthier than Wentz.

It would be unfair, IMO, to rank Wentz above Dak at this point.
