Zeke and Pollard probably are the best running back combo in the NFL. Let’s leave it at that. I think with defense and the improvement of our offensive line our running attack could win playoff games.

Yeah, there is a chance.

Taylor
Henry
Chub
Mixon
Dobbins

Kamara
Aaron Jones
McCaffrey
Montgomery
Swift

Hunt
Harris
Mitchell
Sanders

That wasn't even hard. Maybe Pollard will eventually outplay these guys, who knows.

No love for Ekeler?

If the Cowboys ran their team like a organization that actually gave their best players opportunity and not just the guy with the highest contract where do you think Pollard would be among the NFLs elite?

He’s far and away the best back on the team and if given the opportunity where does he rank among the top tier guys?
He’s probably close to being the best “change of pace back” in the league. Top 3 for sure!

Hard to say to be honest. I can say that he exceeded my expectations with the opportunities he's been giving thus far and was quite impressed with his RB1 performance against the bears. His cutbacks were a thing of beauty to see in this offense and the ability to make guys miss oppose to running them over like Zeke has grown accustomed to doing. (Not a Zeke hater, love his physicality) but I need to see more of a sample size from Pollard against elite defenses before I crown him most improved player of the year.

But Pollard has definitely took advantage of the opportunities thus far. Which most players do in a contract year

Not a chance in hell there are 14 rbs better than him

I don't know how anyone could confidently rank a guy who's never had the chance.

All I know is he's ultra productive when given enough of the load.

My ranking for him is INCOMPLETE, let alone 14 guys better.

We have a lot of play makers. Pollard is a favorite. Great kid, humble and not a diva. In times when most felt he should play more for an injured Zeke, there was no drama. He just keeps playing. We will surely need to lean on the run game later in the season when the weather may be a factor. I still think (when healthy) Zeke will be needed to grind some yards. I love the two.

I think they’re handling the position exactly the way they should. Let Elliot be the sledgehammer. And then get the ball to Tony in the second half and let them slash his way for touchdowns. It’s called teamwork

Only as far as the depth chart is concerned. When it comes to catching the ball and running it hell no.
Elliot has way better hands. And he’s a better pass protector. And I love Tony Pollard just as much. They both have their specialties

If the Cowboys pounded Pollard for 20+ carries a game, like most fans want them to do he wouldn’t be as effective. A lot of teams are rotating RBs. It’s a punishing position, and it keeps them fresh. What the Cowboys are doing has been working but fans continue to complain about it. Pollard didn’t get all the carries last week. If you have two capable backs that have a role it makes no sense not to use them both. Zeke had a very good game against the Lions two weeks ago even though he only had 52 yards. He’s punishing and he put up 2 TDs on the board. It would be stupid just a bench him so we can wear down Pollard with the entire load.

I want them to use Pollard exactly like they did against Chicago.

Zeke can get the scraps.

RBs aren’t getting 20 Carrie’s a game anyways.

This season alone?

Based on the numbers top 12ish. He’s outperforming names that win the popularity contest and will get pro bowl votes but he’s having a silly season statistically.

The last three weeks they’ve been using him pretty much the same way. He got 15 touches against Chicago and had 14 touches against the Lions the previous week. He had 13 touches against Philadelphia. He’s receiving plenty of opportunities but some fans want him out there every down. If it was up to some fans Zeke would never get on the field. Every game plays out differently and the carriers aren’t always going to be divvied up the exact same way.

For players with what Id consider a large enough sample size:

- 1st in YPA
- 1st in Avg / Yards after contact
- Top 5 in 20+ yard runs

I understand the lack of touches drops him a little bit but he’s having a really, really good season.
