Seeing him lined up wide on 1st downs, when every single person in this planet knew that NO was going to keep running Kamara, was beyond embarrassing. A clown show.

Why, what in the world you really just ruined my entire day. Let's say (I don't want this to happen) he gets injured and a backup is playing well, he's going right back in? There will be no romo story, or Dak story to be our next QB of the future??? lol
It’s been know for almost two weeks now that he has a no-trade clause. You are here 24/7 and should have known that :muttley:

knowing he thinks every play is a pass play, he runs wide up the field, and they're running right past him

He's a joke as a leader. He can talk to Brady and Ray lewis all he wants. It didn't rub off because he has a personality defect. His ability will never be maximized here. Trade ASAP

Athleticism through the roof
Leadership poor

I'm not as harsh on Parsons as most. Guy is an absolute monster who needs to be accounted for on every play and often schemed against. He lead the league in double teams at 35% last year.

He gets burned out by the end of the season/playoffs however this is more on the coaching staff than Parsons IMO. The staff needs to set limitations so he doesn't wear himself out.

Now he seems to get washed in the run game. Some teams have heavily focused at running at him and have had major success all game.

The guy is only one piece of the puzzle. I'f your eating double teams and chip blocks and schemed against the rest of the DL needs to put in work. Seems if he has a "bad" game the rest of the defense does absolutely nothing

If used correctly he’s a great player. If they are going to continue to use cheap d tackles then trade him. He’s not worth paying if you have d tackles getting blown off the ball 5 yards.

I am very negative on the guy. Elite athlete for sure but he has nothing between the ears. Folds every time he faces adversity. Before the game he was telling everyone he was a leader and ready to go parabolic. After the game he defended Zimmerman but spouted the same tired talking points of we’ll get em next time. It’s only 2 games into the season and I don’t like what I see out of him. Too one dimensional and not nearly long enough to play against NFL tackles every snap. I keep hearing they are going to move him around. I haven’t seen it. There is no way I would pay this guy.

What do you all think???
Same place I was before. Good, not great.

Are we expecting him to get past two blockers and sack the QB in under four seconds?

It’s simple on him and it’s been said many times….he is an elite rusher who can be schemed out of games because the interior DL is weak.

When the offense is gashing the DL at will in the run game, I’m not so sure what Parsons is supposed to do to turn that around.
That is also true.

However, we watched in the GB game where several times they didn't even bother to block him, just chipped him outside and ran right by him.

I actually hope for Micah's sake he leaves this dumpster fire with his health intact and goes to a competently run team. He's the one truly elite player on this team. He was in total game wrecker mode against Cleveland. I didn't watch yesterday's game as I was traveling but I'm going to guess it was another case of him getting worn down mentally and physically because he knows he's stuck with a loser organization, e g., our D line sucks yet again. I don't fault the guy.

Parson was actually doing what he was supposed to. Setting nice edges and pushing the run inside when he was supposed to. Joseph & Phillips were getting abused. DL is bad. LB's out of position on the run fits.

Won the game for us in the first half last week.
For me it's simple, until the scheme is changed to a 3-4 and he plays OLB the question of his size will keep cropping up.
Bill Belichick/ Rex Ryan would put this change in place on Day 1.

He needs to be 'managed' but great players often do (LT, Irvin, Sanders etc).
Great post

He talked a bit this past week about Zimmer 'giving him the keys to the defense' and how honored he was and how it was such a big responsibility. And how did he respond to this great honor? I was thinking during the game and seeing how awful the defense was that Zimmer was an idiot trusting this guy with anything.

I am pro MP and usually defend him... but yesterday there is no defense. He was no where to be found and honestly, as I said in another post, if this trend continues a decision needs to be made about his future here.

To me if he leaves here and goes to legit 3-4 defense as an OLB he'll be a 17-20 sack guy every year. Thats where he belongs.
Will that team have other defenders on a pro bowl level to handle leadership duties? If not he's not getting 17-20 anything.

Zero talent at DT, constant double teams, no one else stepping up....yeah, it's all his fault...
:muttley: :muttley:
Look, I agree that this is what unnecessary to have a post about one single player on that mess from yesterday...

the only thing I can agree with is he seems to give up too soon. It's it is to me that he loses his aggressiveness during games that just get out of hand early, he doesn't seem to play as hard the rest of the game and I think people are saying it hey you're right maybe he's getting tired of running into a brick wall, being held and no one else is doing anything, so he pulls back??

did that comment last week about how great Overshown played and how fast he was and that he wasn't going to be able to take plays off he's going to have to go 100% on every play is that not a red flag isn't that the same thing like tank said last playoff game they were tired, it is at the same thing as what was it Xavier woods a couple years back that's almost impossible to go 100 full speed on every play, those going away from you or you cant truly get involved in you don't always go full speed..

I would consider putting him up for trade at the end of this season. He’s going to be holding out for a ton of money next summer. Teams have him figured out. He’s not showing up in these games that we’re getting destroyed in. He hasn’t made the defense better and he’ll be looking for close to $40 million per season after this year. He’s not a leader and doesn’t appear passionate about football. He’s talking about retiring at 30. Fans have become fed up with all the yapping he does on social media. They showed him standing on the sidelines several times yesterday sucking air while our defense was getting dismantled. You never see him getting after his teammates, trying to fire them up. He looks great in some games, but against contending teams he’s being contained and he hasn’t shown up in the playoffs. The number of eye popping plays we saw him make during his first couple of seasons has diminished.
