Where is everyone on Micah Parsons?

We absolutely cannot afford to make him the highest paid defensive player in NFL history after the Dak and CD contract. We need to spread the cap money around. We can't have it all tied up in 3 guys with the team performing as it does. We aren't the chiefs trying to hold the party together for another year.
the minute we paid our QB is the minute that pipe dream because impossible

He freelances. Doesn't play his position properly when he gets frustrated. He's a selfish player.

That's why a player of his immense ability drops to 15 in the draft.

He didn’t fall to 15 in the draft and none of these things were a knock on him going into the draft.

But other than the fact that your entire post is fabricated……

Zero talent at DT, constant double teams, no one else stepping up....yeah, it's all his fault...
:muttley: :muttley:
He's the next one in line who will be demanding to be the highest paid ever at his position. The least he can do is try to earn it. I don't recall his name being called a single time yesterday. But I admit I started yard work early in the 3rd quarter. Mowing the yard was more entertaining than watching the Dallas D get torched as bad as they did.

Micah has his warts but he is one of the best defensive players in the league and the cowboys defense would be one of the worst in the league without him.

So go ahead and wish for the cowboys to move on. Just be careful what you wish for when the defense falls apart completely.

I am very negative on the guy. Elite athlete for sure but he has nothing between the ears. Folds every time he faces adversity. Before the game he was telling everyone he was a leader and ready to go parabolic. After the game he defended Zimmerman but spouted the same tired talking points of we’ll get em next time. It’s only 2 games into the season and I don’t like what I see out of him. Too one dimensional and not nearly long enough to play against NFL tackles every snap. I keep hearing they are going to move him around. I haven’t seen it. There is no way I would pay this guy.

What do you all think???
big mouth, focused on making money and being popular in media. can't back it up against better teams. feasts on easy opponents

Are they not one of the worst in the league WITH Parsons on the roster? It sure looked that way yesterday.

Parson was actually doing what he was supposed to. Setting nice edges and pushing the run inside when he was supposed to. Joseph & Phillips were getting abused. DL is bad. LB's out of position on the run fits.

Why discuss Micah’s actual performance yesterday when we can bring up platitudes about years prior and discuss subjective things like not liking what he says on a podcast.

Don't need to be a leader to rush from the outside all day.
he needs a leader to make him not fade late in the year or he'll fade just like he does here. Tj watt never faded late in the year regardless if Hayward plays or not. Micah needs a ray lewis on the team. He's too mentally weak

He is the same as the rest of the Defense...when he gets punched in the face, he rolls over and taps out.

Exactly. We love these guys. His physical ability is absolutely god tier. I don't really follow college football but watching him for one game you gotta ask yourself how in he world is he not the #1 overall pick. Then you get to know him and what he is about and it all becomes clear.

IMHO very Dez like.
yea can't disagree. I like Micah and i do think that many of the criticisms Micah receives aren't warranted, buuuut some of the things are absolutely true. Like Dez, Micah seems to rely too much on his physical abilities and not try to build that mental skillset that makes a player truly dominant. I fear he's going to be like Dez and try to learn those skills AFTER he is no longer physically dominant, but like Dez trying to learn route trees after injuries caught up to him, it'll be too late

Get it if you can....his career can be over on one play.

Here we go with the double teams, ok i'll give it to you, he was on a few plays, but once again, not on every play
No, and I’m not trying to defend Parsons, but I am trying to be fair.

How is an elite rusher supposed to fix what was going on yesterday? Everyone else was getting trucked in the run game.

NO was nearly never forced into must pass situations because they were consistently winning first and second down.

It’s going to limit Parsons effectiveness.

Hey, this is a big part of why they are front runners, but until management gets it through their heads that DT is a vital position, this will continue against the better teams.

He needs to be traded if we can get multiple first round picks and save $40M+ a year.

A great pass rusher is 100% useless, if your D gives up 200 rushing yards a game.

He's gonna die on the vine here while making bank. Who knows if it will be different if he leaves, other than getting paid.

That is also true.

However, we watched in the GB game where several times they didn't even bother to block him, just chipped him outside and ran right by him.
Right….he can be schemed out of games when the other team can run up the gut at will.

Jerry and son don’t want to pay for the DT position. They aren’t stars and they don’t sell jerseys. Their refusal to fix the problems that are clear and obvious to even fans leads me to believe that they have no idea what they are doing.

I mean, how do you have GB happen then do nothing to fix the DL, except lose depth?

I don’t claim to be some expert, but have been saying all off-season that I don’t see how they are going to stop the run. I was shocked at what happened in Cleveland.

It’s a strange league and they will win some games as long as NY and Wash continue to be even worse, but there’s no way this culminates in playoff success….although if it takes an awful season to finally wake them up (it won’t), sign me up.

Are we expecting him to get past two blockers and sack the QB in under four seconds?

It’s simple on him and it’s been said many times….he is an elite rusher who can be schemed out of games because the interior DL is weak.

When the offense is gashing the DL at will in the run game, I’m not so sure what Parsons is supposed to do to turn that around.
I saw multiple times where he was stonewalled by a RB or TE one on one.

He is a very good player. But IMO, he is not on the level of a TJ watt or miles Garrett. He is terrible against the run and good offensive coordinators abuse him
