Yep. Fade it in the draft and pay a free agent.So, if there is that big a learning curve shouldn't your strategy be to not draft DT in first round or acquire them via other means? ie, let someone else pay for their education while you get a guy whose ready to take someone to school.
All a draft pick does is grant you 4 years of cheap control for a guy, and NTs usually spend 2 or 3 of those figuring things out. It's a hard position to return value on.
